Got tired of my Dewalt jamming. Went and purchased a Hitachi battery today super powerful I’m impressed

I have almost all Dewalt for my tool collection and I swear by them as a great tool brand. But out of these 2 nail guns there is no comparison and Dewalt is not even close. I have the hikoki nail gun which must be branded metabo over there, prior to owning this I used a dewalt gun for a while and it just constantly jammed and under performed. The green one is heavy but it's a much more powerful gun and doesn't have the amount of issues as the dewalt
@hammerandhome3 жыл бұрын
that's definitely true about the older dewalt guns, I am really impressed though with this new model. I really need to put it through some serious framing to see if it will hold up. I do love my Metabo
@PostUp_Time3 жыл бұрын
WHAT DID YOU EXPECT. THE GUY HAS HUNDRED OF FREE DEWALT TOOLS IN THE BACKGROUND. THAT TELLS YOU RIGHT AWAY, WHO HE "HAS" TO PICK! AS SOON AS DEWALT BATTERY LOSES POWER, THE TOOL JAMBS OR NAILS NOT SINK RIGHT. JUST COMPARE THE SIZE AND WEIGHT OF BATTERIES REQUIRED FOR THIS TEST!

The Metabo does set nails deep. For fascia and barge rafters, it shows. When nailing plywood sheeting for code shear paneling, that deep piercing of the plywood might not be acceptable on inspection.

DUH WHAT WERE YOU EXPECTING? GUY HAS HUNDREDS OF TOOLS FROM DEWALT IN THE BACKGROUND! DO YOU THINK HE WOULD RECOMMEND METABO?

Pretty much tells me everything I need to know, Dewalt nailers trash compared to metabo/milwaukee/paslode. It's just the way it's designed, especially since metabo came out with 36volt nailers

I am on the dewalt platform. I bought the dewalt 30° first gen and yeah it sucks, I only use it for 2 inch nails. Now I bought the 21° and I love it for short periods. I prefer pneumatic for all day machine gunning.

Have a full Dewalt tool line up. 20 volt. Works great and love them.... However the prices on them are getting rediculous. Going to grab the Matabo because I can get the complete gun kit way cheaper than just the Dewalt bare tool. Lowes has great pricing on all the Metabo stuff for the holidays. Also, have been trying to come across the Dewalt Flexvolt table saw for months. Lets go Dewalt, get your act together.

no issues with the DeWalt after a short run in. Battery lasts well. Wish it would stand upside down like the Milwaukee, The plastic rafter hook is kinda a worry it might break if working in the sun over many years. I love mine.

good to hear, I do miss the lightness of my old dewalt, I should get it fixed so i can use it again. cheers

Hi Brad, As i mention i use both brand (Milwaukee and DeWalt). I did purchased the milwaukee framing gun over the dewalt. It sink the nails great even at certain odd angles. The Con on the milwaukee cordless framing gun, it's heavvvvvy. Great for smaller framing projects. I won't use it for heavy framing all day. Well maybe if i have a can of spinach first, LOL. I will stick to my air Hitachi framing gun with compressor for all day framing. Sorry but certain air tools still rule. My dislike on the dewalt cordless framing gun is the flywheel motor and like you mention hard to sink nails in certain angle. Still way lighter then the milwaukee. Just wanted to share my thoughts. Thanks for the video

Hey Michael, thanks for your opinion. I totally agree, on big framing jobs I go for my Max Air nailer. its light and so fast. I like to keep the metabo for quick jobs and high to reach places. Thanks for watching bud

The Milwaukee is over a pound heavier than the Metabo and it's not as balanced. Someone said it's a little more balanced with the extended magazine, which I find a little hard to believe. When I try to hold the Milwaukee, I just don't feel like I can get a good comfortable grip due to the weight and balance (kinda front heavy). The Metabo on the other hand is still heavy, but it's bearable thanks to the balance (still could be better).

Had two dewalts and they both went out with the same problems once there done there done , got the hikoki now makes the dewalt look like a toy

Although the Hitachi (around here) is about a $100 cheaper than the milwaukee, i still got the milwaukee. I’m on their battery platform, so an extra hitachi battery would have evened the price out.
@hammerandhome3 жыл бұрын
thats always a big decider for me too. I don't have very much milwaukee so I decided to go with the Metabo, both great guns
@billwatcher93216 ай бұрын
The dewalt is faster but, unless your shooting off a shear panel, you would NEVER be shooting fast like that. Framing a wall with 2x6 you put 3 nails through the plate and move to the next stud, so a speed test is not a real world way to compare framing nailers.
@AjGalloway954 жыл бұрын
Also seen the Milwaukee doing as well as metabo and even faster than dewalt but Its pricey and I got the metabo with menards rebates😝

How does the DeWalt do with ring shank nails? Don’t ask. 🤦♂️

he says dewalt is faster but yet puts harder nails to penetrate in the metabo. so obvious he got tool from dewalt. he has dewalt tools in packaging on display. even the pocket multi tool. ONLY DEWALT TOOLS SHOWN

Cordless Framers at 9 pounds plus a battery and nails is crazy. no way are these useable at that weight. stick with old tried and true paslode/ light weight and does the job. none of this running out of air and broken electronics in trigger

I think I lot of guys are making the switch. Obviously everyone has there preference, but I just framed a full house with the metabo and only used air for the stapler. I just can’t stand hoses or gas. Cheers
