This recalls a memory I have from childhood. Each child in my class was given a Narcissus bulb. We were told to put some gravel in a dish and place the bulb in it, place the dish in a dark place and eventually I got pretty blossoms.

Absolutely lovely, Harriet. 🤩 I’ve seen botanical paintings with the bulb or roots but it never occurred to me that it would be fun for ME to paint that 😂. It makes a strong composition. I particularly like the way you painted the leaves and stems. They’re really pop off the page.❤
