I've got a Dewitts radiator in my C5, had it since August and it dropped my op temp to 200ish even in 90+ degree Cali weather. Great choice brother!

That’s great to hear, I’m hoping for the same result!

What's up bub, as always great Vid. The oil leak, and you know as well as lots of others out there, have common areas. 1. oil press sens. 2. Valley Cover, rarely. 3. Rear Main. 4. Rear Engine Plate. Normally if the oil is looking like a seep, or a leak, in the rear area of the pan, it could be the rear engine plate. Same thing happen to me, I thought i needed a pan gasket, but did research and found that with the LS, has a bad castings for the rear engine plate from the factory. I wanted to do a clutch anyways, so I dropped the drivetrain, removed the clutch, and sure enough, rear plate was leaking like a sive. Summit sells a kit w/ a plate, gasket and seal. Look into it. You know how to contact me if you have any questions. be safe.

After looking closer, it seems to be from the front of the engine, at least thats where the drip is coming from. It could be coming from the back too like you said

Must owner C5 they don't notice that aftermarket radiator they are heavy twice than the OEM when they get full up with the coolant the problem is the frame in the bottom the one is holding the radiator start to crack because that. ... Well nothing you can do only to check the frame every while

Yea I may have to reinforce that eventually

Do you have a video on installing the oil cooling hoses to the oil pan?
@LowBoostFilms3 жыл бұрын
It’s in this video as best as I could, it was hard to get the camera in there.

There’s nothing about connecting the oil cooler in this video…

the oil pan has two gaskets - upper and lower. i spoke to Lyle at C&S CORVETTES (KZbin) on the phone and he said that the top one is prone to leak.

Yeah that is my fear, then I will have to replace the oil pan gasket

Here's a question for you, if you used the oil cooler that is. What's an oil change look like with the oil cooler in there? Do you need to drain the oil cooler as well since it had the thermostat in the housing? In looking to do the same for a C5 I want to track. Not sure if I even need the oil cooler but I'd I'm already there and the radiator already has it... Seems like a no brainer?
@LowBoostFilms2 жыл бұрын
Oil change is just the same, no additional draining, enough of it will come out. You just add that improved racing thermostat and you’re good to go.

Off topic question but did you have to use wheel spacers for the C6 rims on your C5 ?
@LowBoostFilms3 жыл бұрын
3-5mm spacers on the back, it’s tight, but they don’t rub
