WHEN I SEE THIS SONG FOR THE FIRST TIME, I WANTED TO TRANSLATE IT INTO MY LANGUAGE, TURKISH, AND COVER IT. I translated too but.. Unfortunately. The meaning of "misery loves company" in Turkish is "wedding feast that comes with the hand", which is an idiom. And- When I tried to cover this song in Turkish like this, it seemed so absurd. So much so that I laughed at this for 40 hours. This feels so different from past songs I heard from you! A good different! The more rock sound is complimented by the rough vocals of Dex and the cutting lyrics. I've been finding that the chorus keeps coming back to my head and I really can't get enough of it! Not to mention how perfect the art is! It's edgy (the good kind lol) and so cool. Ok i haven't seen anyone actually have a theory on what the song is about but for some reason it hit me in the most random way possible At least to my eyes, this song talks about sexuality? To me it makes perfect sense- The lyrics saying "avert your eyes, turn away, what you despise has a face" at the beggining, was what made me actually stop and think that maybe this was a bit more deep than just a very good beat and funky visuals So here's what i concluded, basically- The chorus encourages someone to do whatever they want, and that they were not being judged- "misery loves company, baby" would insinuate the character is having the same experience as them "Can't use a knif3 or r4zor to cut it out, this is the type of sin they pray about" is the one that makes me believe in this theory the most, since being lgbtq is not something we get to choose to turn on and off, it comes with us since birth, but the church insists it is a choice/a sin.. And this line of him saying that a knif3 and a r4zor can't take it out could also indicate he has tried to "take it out" in the past, wich is common in the lgbtq community in homophobic/religious households (That scene of him praying idk what could mean, imma be honest-) And there at the end of the song, i don't think there's much to say about it, the line "i'm the same, i'm depraved" could mean he is showing he won't change and the church can s#ck it, but i'm not sure- That was...one BIG rant, oh my god- So basically this is how i viewed the song! Maybe i'm wrong but at least to me it makes perfect sense! If anyone has anything to add or say about this idea, i would be more than happy to hear! And if someone has other theories as well :D

I love Vocacircus. Every song they make is always different from previous ones, I feel like many vocaloid producers now are one trick ponies that do the same thing for every single song but each song made by VocaCircus is always a new experience.
