My main grip about this season is Dexter with Lumen getting together right after Rita passed away. I just didn't like that idea. I felt it was unnecessary

This whole season should’ve been focused on the beginning of Dexter’s downfall, and should’ve had season 6 be the final season with Dexter being revealed as the bay harbor butcher and him on the run. What they could’ve done at the end of season 5 is had Quinn close in on Dexter and Deb finding out, kinda similar to season 7’s finale with Laguerta, but with Quinn instead of her.
