Lundy spent most of his life obsessing and hunting killers and was smart enough to see the Trinity Killer’s pattern. There is no damn way this man doesn’t pick up on the fact that the BHB’s trophies are Bloodslides and NOT think it’s the blood analyst.

He probably wans't convinced about Doakes and he definitly had suspicions on Dex, but the FBI just wanted to close the case as soon as possible. They had enough evidence, Lundy would destroy his carrier if he pithced his theory just with a hunch as prove.
@felipemontero10873 ай бұрын
It is implied and said by the creators he already knew Dexter was the Butcher. But then Doakes incriminated himself in a clumsy attempt, then he fell for Debra, so he was backed against a corner. Also, Lundy says the one reason for killing was to save an innocents life. Every single victim of the Butcher has escaped judgment, and even Dexter killed a copycat. So, is like te professional curtesy Dexter mentioned

What I liked about the writing was that Lundy was blind to Dexter because of Deb. The blood slides were a stretch though lol.
@Victor-rb6pq3 ай бұрын
@@iEcksy I think he suspected Dexter ever since he started dating Debra. She would definitly have talked a lot about Dex and he would smell his "good guy " act a mile away. I think the only reason he let Dex slide was because the FBI was on his back to close the case asap, giving him no time to investigate anyone other than Doakes. He'd be risking his job on hunch he knew he could never prove (unless he caught Dexter in the act), and since Dex's targets were worst than him, i guess he tought : " Next time you make a mistake i'll be here to catch you".

So many ways Dexter could have ended they could have really gone into detail with all the slides they found turned Dexter in and let him face his consequences I think they would’ve had they kept on the same writing team that they did for the first four seasons. It almost feels like the writers for the last four didn’t even really watch they just came up with their own ideas instead of continuing the story as they should’ve.

Ya see, he was so careful, except not getting rid of the evidence via burning to ash. Unfortunate mistake.

I’m quite certain bundy knew or at least suspected dexter the entire time but agreed with his actions and gave him chances to clean up his mistakes
