Lundy spent most of his life obsessing and hunting killers and was smart enough to see the Trinity Killer’s pattern. There is no damn way this man doesn’t pick up on the fact that the BHB’s trophies are Bloodslides and NOT think it’s the blood analyst.
@Victor-rb6pq

He probably wans't convinced about Doakes and he definitly had suspicions on Dex, but the FBI just wanted to close the case as soon as possible. They had enough evidence, Lundy would destroy his carrier if he pithced his theory just with a hunch as prove.
@felipemontero1087

It is implied and said by the creators he already knew Dexter was the Butcher. But then Doakes incriminated himself in a clumsy attempt, then he fell for Debra, so he was backed against a corner. Also, Lundy says the one reason for killing was to save an innocents life. Every single victim of the Butcher has escaped judgment, and even Dexter killed a copycat. So, is like te professional curtesy Dexter mentioned

What I liked about the writing was that Lundy was blind to Dexter because of Deb. The blood slides were a stretch though lol.

@@iEcksy I think he suspected Dexter ever since he started dating Debra. She would definitly have talked a lot about Dex and he would smell his "good guy " act a mile away. I think the only reason he let Dex slide was because the FBI was on his back to close the case asap, giving him no time to investigate anyone other than Doakes. He'd be risking his job on hunch he knew he could never prove (unless he caught Dexter in the act), and since Dex's targets were worst than him, i guess he tought : " Next time you make a mistake i'll be here to catch you".

@@abortedphoenix Homicide is a legal term that refers to any killing of one person by another, self defense can be classified as a non criminal homicide, car accidents can be vehicular homicide. While murder is a type of homicide that involves the unlawful killing of another person with the intent to harm or kill that person. There really isn’t a whole lot different with them other than you might have planned a murder.

@@Yorcontthe whole time Lundy speaks of how precise the butcher is, he’s looking at Dexter and how he manages his tools so clean and formal.
@NotAGoodUsername360
@NotAGoodUsername360 4 ай бұрын
@@Yorcont He didn't punish Doakes. He simply followed the evidence whichever way it lead. He probably knew Dex was the Butcher- he wouldn't have slept with Deborah otherwise- but once Dex had successfully framed Doakes he conceded. Probably explicitly because Lundy accepts that Dexter ultimately saves more innocent lives than the guilty ones he takes.

Shouldn’t the slides have been a pretty clear clue to Dexter? Even though they were found in Doakes car, they suspected someone inside. That seems like an obvious clue to the blood guy. I was always confused by it. Also, when Doakes say “Jesus Christ man” It sounded like he really wanted to be wrong about Dexter.

Lundi knew that the BHB keeps his boat in the same marina as dexter and he also found out that the BHB is one of the miami metro personnels. He could easily pull out the boat ownership data from the marina and check for the Miami metro people.. I was wondering why he didnt do that!

Prob not since it's portrayed from Dexter's perspective to give signs to the audience that may or may not be there. Even for as calm and calculating as Dexter is he still is human and becomes a semi unreliable pov in high stress scenarios imo.

I'm just wondering how they're gonna try to tie the algae to where the killer keeps his boat. It is a harbor after all. Many different boats are at the docks. An one of them could have been in the same area as Dexter. It's possible all those docks have the same algae on them.
