Good day. This video is very educational and now we are applying all the learnings to the bird. We might look for the partner para di sya malungkot. Kudos to your vlogs po!

Looking great Dexter! I really like how you are providing more nest boxes than pairs of love birds, so that they don’t squabble with each other in the future. Please also be sure to provide lots of perches, of varying width, to ensure the health of the love bird’s feet. The love bird’s should be able to wrap their feet around 2/3 to 3/4 of the perch width. Also, pls ensure you provide something that helps to wear down the beak of the love birds. They seem to be receiving optimal nutrition, so I’m sure that you will be seeing the growth of their beak become very fast!

Hi Dex, Lovebirds fanatics here and I was so glad that you started with this great colony... if I may suggest using banana stalks cut in 5 inches.. its actually a very good nesting materials.. you can also try coconut talks (palwa), love birds do love sheading its fibers for nesting materials.. More power to your farm.. you are an inspiration to many

Hello Dexter, I hope you are well! It is the best way to breed, cleaning, good water, and a variety of fresh food. To exchange the males was a great idea to avoid inbreeding. The love birds are loving the new setups, and are happily watching your hard work, and very happy as well! Is Simba still hanging around? The ducks look quite dirty, and need a better, larger source of water to share! I know your team is busy, has you are! I always appreciate a hands on owner operator like you Dex, vs. a bunch of automated farms that have a limited human touch. It is important for the animals to rise with the sun, and have a good standards like you have, A very good video!! Peace!

Yes your absolutely correct, line the boxes up side by side as high up as you can on all 4 sides of Avairy. Always remember a very Important part. Make sure you always have a few extra nest boxes than you have pairs!! So 30prs of lovebirds = 33-35 nest boxes, this will totally eliminate territorial disputes, fights, and arrugements over nesting spots, try to keep them all at same height, avoid a second row, lower than top row, make all of them at same height, this is very Important also, so they all are treated equal with the security of a high nest, and not forced to go to lower nest boxes. Will be a success!!

Hi Dexter, beatiful video as always.. I would like to make you a suggestion.. you have 2 different species of loverbirds ( black masked and Fischeri).. these species can produce fertile hybrids , and I can see that mostly of your birds are pure and well selected.. so my advice is to separate the two species or focus in one of them.. Greetings from Italy 😄
