Awwww that reminds me of a similar experience with cupcakes that happened to me back in 2018. My mom and I had spent a huge portion of the trip sick in the room with the flu (it was hands down the worst trip we've ever had in 30 years!), and my mom still had a bad lingering cough by the end of the trip. We were driving home the next day with an overnight stop halfway home, so I bought some nighttime cough medicine from the Screen Door at Boardwalk so we could sleep and drive safely. The cast member ringing me up saw the cough medicine and said, "Uh oh, looks like somebody's got the icky creepy crawlies." and I told him the whole story. He was really sympathetic, and told me, "I think we have just the right thing to help you and your mom feel better on the way home as soon as I finish ringing you up here." After he finished he led me over to the bakery case and told me to pick out two cupcakes, one for me and one for my mom. Then he boxed them up and handed them to me, saying "This is a 'we're sorry you were sick during your vacation'!". Pretty notable given how expensive those cupcakes are!

I absolutely do not regret my lightsaber from Savi's - it really was an incredible experience, and every time I look at it displayed at home I smile. Was there sticker shock? Yes, but I saved and planned for it - that was my "big souvenir" from Disney. And, as a huge Star Wars fan I would have been heartbroken if I hadn't been able to get a reservation for it. The other thing I don't regret, for different reasons, is the Disney Dining Plan. No, based on strict credit-counting, I probably didn't save money with it, but, it was just so nice to be able to sit down to a restaurant and not have to worry about if we were going over budget; it let us try restaurants like Homecomin' and Be Our Guest, that we would have steered away from otherwise due to feeling we couldn't afford them. Everything except tip was paid for in advance, so we could just sit down and enjoy our meals.

You're not packing things around, the warmer/dry clothes are there when you need them and you can really pack a lot into them. I think one of my best memories is the moment you know that it's too late in the day to ride any more water rides. You go to the locker and get your dry clothes...they're so warm and dry and you just feel so good when you get changed.

We loved doing the pressed pennies. Compared to other souvenirs they are way less expensive even after we bought the book. It was fun looking out for a press and it kept my son entertained and from begging for more expensive things everywhere we went. Now he has a memory book with pennies that remind him of all the parts of each park we visited.

My mom took all kids and grandkids to the parks with what she got when my dad passed on. She did the room welcome. I had toddlers totally into pirates ( it was like 2013 i believe) it was anazing to just watch them be so happy and excited after losing grandpa. It was like he was there i think they had discussed it. It was pretty special and a great way to be happy and remember him.( He had been taking all us kids there since we were little, he was a pretty great dad)

My biggest no regret product buy is a spirit jersey, I buy one every time I go and spirit jerseys are almost exclusively my winter wardrobe 🤣

I bought a vera bradley tote bag when I went to Disney land for their 60th anniversary. I love that bag and used it as a " teacher" bag when I was teaching. Super sturdy and still in use. It has lots of hidden mickeys in the fabric.

The best thing I bought at WDW was a tour, the Marcelline to Magic Kingdom tour, for my husband as a Father’s Day gift. It was 3 hours of trivia and history and backstage secrets, all about how Walt Disney’s magic evolved. We were enthralled the entire time. It wasn’t a super expensive add-on, we got to see aspects of the park we had never known or had access to, and it was a wonderful memory. They’re probably not running those tours right now, but when they come back, I highly recommend them.

The last time I was there, I collected smashed pennies. Cheap way to get something of an area or ride I really liked.

Your opening question was a great one. I've done both. I took my family and we stayed in the Touret Suite at the Yacht Club for 10 nights and I use a $5 Mickey coffee mug almost every day. Both were well worth it

My personal favorite things to buy are Plushies or ears. Plushies bring me so much stress relief and I love them. Ears are cool to collect, and you can bring them with you on yir trip and as your collection grows, you have more to pair with outfits! And honestley, the mini backpacks they have are cute, it's just that in my opinion they're really expensive.

i would put spirit jerseys in their own category; i legit wear mine year around and it's still one of the comfiest sweatshirts I own. It also has the limited editions styles, so if you see one you like, you do have to jump on it
@kesimp243 жыл бұрын
I totally agree on that limited edition stuff! I was there in june and snagged the pride micjey ears and the ball cap and the next year the hat was not offered and i still wear it almost daily! It was so worth it.

The photo pass was VERY WORTH IT for what we paid!!!! We got every single ride photo, AND RIDE VIDEOS, and also there's places to stop for photos all over the park. It was so nice to have all those photos!!!

Haven't been to any of the Disney parks yet, but I'm cramping all these information in so when I do, I'll be ready! Could you do a follow up with an opposite of this video? One with 30 of the things you will regret buying at Disney/30 things you shouldn't spend your money on? Would be fantastic, stay safe and healthy DFB!

Years ago I bought a decorative serving tray for my Mom at WDW she loved it. For my Dad it was a barrel from China, he treasured it, They are gone now, but I have them where I can see it everyday. Brings back great memories.

Okay, so last time I was in Disney I bought a droid. That night I couldn’t stop smiling. The droid still sits in my closet, but I do not regret buying it AT ALL. It was the coolest experience.

It brings you joy! Marie Condo can suck it! 😂❤️😂 Love your attitude! I was unhappy with my wand purchase at Universal, if and when we go back I’m totally buying a new one, no regrets! 😝
@katehart43144 жыл бұрын
@@ProudPapaJD yeah, I honestly love my droid. I might not use it as much as I want, but everytime I think of it it being back great memories or being soaked from the rain and all of a sudden being in line to build my own droid at 10 o clock at night. It was one of the most magical experiences I’ve ever done, and for me it really made the trip. The funniest part of it all was having to carry it through the Orlando airport to get it back home. It wouldn’t fit in my bag, so I had to tie it up in my sweatshirt and just carry it. 😂 I will forever love and cherish my droid, and I hope someday when I have kids I can share it with them, or even be able to have them make their own in Disney World.

a few years ago when we were at Disney it started pouring but we had forgottenf our rain gear at the hotel we decided to stay and splurge for the ponchos. all of the rides had super short lines and tower of terror was so much fun to do in the rain. we ate dinner during the time it was thundering and got to ride so many rides that we probably would have missed out on if we hadn't stayed. We still have the ponchos and it was the tower of terror in the rain is still one of my fondest memories of Disney.

Bought a steel cup at the mint julep booth two years ago. On sale for $5 because it was left over from a night party. Use it every day to drink from. Still shiny and clean and the logos is still dark and clear. Best thing I ever bought.

Yes! Most of these are so worth it. I would say the top one out this vid is magic bands! It’s such a faff trying to get park tickets out every time you want to go into the park, use fast pass or DAS and then remember to get them back from the kids 😅 we got our magic bands at the outlet and love them!

25 years ago, my wife and I were in Epcot and walked into a shop that sold framed coat of arms and family crests. At the time, we had never known anyone doing that. We bought ours and it was shipped to our house 4 weeks later. I still have it hanging in our gameroom. Never regretted buying it.

I've been subscribed to you for about a week now and I've binged watched so many of your videos. I've never been to Disney World but it's been my dream since I was really young. Although I've never been and probably never will go until I have a family of my own, I love watching your videos. They're so entertaining and it makes me feel like I'm actually there so thank you :)

I got myself the Indiana Jones hat. Now, normally it might be cringy to see someone wear that, but I live in the country so it is really nice to wear in the fall and winter. It is warm and perfect for me!
