We just got home from Universal yesterday. As someone who has a little trouble untwisting myself from "pretzel position" I just wanted to pass along a seating tidbit for the Ripsaw Falls log flume. First, all the rides offer a test seat outside the entrance. Specific to Ripsaw, they offer a seat that they called "Gooseneck-something". I had a little trouble getting out of the test seat (think- the ultimate squat and twerk), so the attendant informed me of this gooseneck seat. I didn't opt for it and did struggle performing the squat-and- twerk while absolutely drenched. All in all, had a fantastic time and appreciated the attendants patience.

I second the Camp Jurassic recommendation. Not only was it so big that I got lost multiple times, but it's actually exciting. I went with my little brother and didn't expect much, but it was really fun to find new caves. The caves are really cool, as they have cool lighting, sounds, sometimes water/bridges, and one cave is an amber mine full of mosquitoes which is sick for a Jurassic fan.

Every time you mention Superstar Limo I shudder. I remember riding that on my very first visit to California Adventure in 2001 and being stunned at how lame it was. So happy that Monsters Inc. took over that space and gave us a great ride!

Very thorough as ever. I would just add use single rider lines. You may not sit next to the person you’re with but you very well likely be on the same cart. The only one that this doesn’t matter is Hagrid‘s. You’re going to wait in either line. The bad thing about single rider lines is you do miss much of the art and decor that is embedded in the other lines. That may be a consideration when you’re in the Harry Potter aspects of the park.

Hey DFBGuide! Thanks for sharing these tips. I’m actually going to Universal Orlando this year for the first time in years and I can’t wait. Sure I won’t ride Rip Ride Rockit but that’s ok. I definitely wanna be near both park and have good walking distance to Universal Studios and IOA while have good transportation to Epic Universe. Which resort would you say is the best place to stay while on a Universal Orlando vacation where I can get free transportation without staying at a Universal resort?

Just to say the wait time for the Grinch while I was in Orlando (Dec 7th-21st 2024) got up to 300 minutes! So people should really be prepared to wait to meet him. Even at park opening the wait was already hitting 100+ minutes each day we were in the park!

Can somebody answer me... If a person wants to go on the line of a ride, to watch the queque like spiderman, harry potter etc that have interesting things and at the end does not want to ride it can the person leave ? Are there exits at the area of boarding the ride ??? My mom wants to see the line but cant ride for medical issues.

I was a cast member for Disney, not universal, but usually there is no problem exiting a ride before boarding, maybe look into child swap options as a way to meet up with your mom after

Yes....the team members are very cool about directing you to an exit at the point when you will need to leave the line and not board the ride. Just let them know at the front that you are there just for the line and not the ride. That includes every ride on property👍!
