One thing people missed was he was a "Single Loop" npc, never meant to be interacted with. Meaning Baelin was indestructible.

There was an Epic NPC Man skit where Baelin was coded to DESTROY players that tried to harrass Baelin. IOW, Baelin can beat down player characters with ease, so it's no surprise that he can wipe the floor with mobs that are designed to be beaten by those PCs.

basically it's a bug/loophole that would've been patched. he's an immortal NPC that can 1shot players, which means he should not have been recruitable.

That script was amazing, but I still can´t get myself through what he did to *...reminds myself to not spoil...* some of the NPCs. 😀 But they would need millions of dollars for that, that´s why he decided to at least read it. But it sure would be absolutely amazing and I would go to every cinema in my surroundings to watch it over and over again.

*Spoilers* The reason you couldn't fast travel is because the player was supposed have FUN playing the game and Sherlocke Holmes this bitch! The player was supposed to feel some pride in how smart they are by figuring out from the numerous clues being dropped like "royal feast" that Willow is really a princess. Baelin's Route is masterfully written.

I like to think that it was because he "added" Baelin to his party and originally that fast travel was an option but Baelin's restrictions in his code superseded the ability to fast travel. Cause there is always the speedrun option.

The sad thing is that the asshole player likely got his quest completed and an Achievement for it without having any idea what happened because Baelin finished the quest for him.

Baelin must be an NPC left over from beta, or even alpha, doesn't have the code the other npc's have... but the devs originally planned for town npc's to be unkillable.... and he's the only one that didn't get upgraded so he is unbeatable!!!

When the game devs put in NPCs for filler, but don't want them to be easy sport, they just tweak all their stats full. Look for the video of a "vampire meeting goes wrong". Not a mini movie like this, but another self-aware NPC story. There should be a compilation video of self-aware NPCs, including one skit where some adventurers try attacking Baelin...
