Funniest thing is that Hamish has all that gold to buy merchandise, which is now his to sell even if the money to buy it wasn't, all the fruit for food, and STILL claims to always be on the verge of losing his kids. He never does, its just part of his storyline now.

Love Hamish! He’s been in a couple of Taika Waititi movies. He was supposed to be the voice of the Beermaster5000 in Thor Ragnarok but I think they went digital. He was in Hunt for the Wilderpeople as a cop. What I found funny was Taika was involved in Free Guy which as you probably know is about an NPC that becomes self aware. Sound familiar? I really want a Taika cameo in EpicNPCman.

Oh, there is one more skit to the NPC merchant saga - Why you don't fight NPC's. If you haven´t yet, you should check that out too. Since the "When an NPC finally loses it" (again, if you haven´t yet, watch it too) and this one, many gamers have said they started treating the NPCs very differently 🤣

@enigmatic756 I think getting stories mixed up. The peach farmers are not same characters and not played by Hamish. Hamish does join game as guest. The inside joke about his character is his stats and class were picked by him to not work together. He wanted a sad broken character similar to ones he normally plays in skits. Its hinted that Hamish rolled for the most attributes points when creating his character but dump the points in useless attributes for his class on purpose.

Hamish is referenced in the D&D campaign episode 139 recently, and it was a big comedy point how the DM worked it into the story since they were dealing with criminals who were smuggling out of prisons by turning them into children and selling them on the black market... also references back to D&D Episode 1 with Pete Gerlet "PG" Peach Farmer and also in D&D Episode 64 in Greg's Dream!

​@@enigmatic756 Not the same character. Pete is literally played by Rob the DM as we watch in episode 1. Hamish viva la dirt character is called the fruit merchant or just poor merchant. In all his skits he is selling his kids for being broke but never buying them nor is it mention that they are not his real kids. The only other character that buys prisoners is Auntie from Ewolin which is another future villain run into. Hamish fruit merchant might sell his kids to Pete but made no indication that he is a smuggler himself. Nor does Rob mention on his behind the scenes that Hamish is related at all to Pete. He is rival farmer character made up by Allan who didn't want to have a family back story arc like other characters do the in campaign.

The saddest part is that NPC doesn't understand truly how broken he is. He's capable of buying random stuff for EXTREMELY disproportionate prices from players despite not having the money for it? This means he's got infinite money to give to players no matter how much money he himself has. Which means, he could buy stuff from players for no extra cost to himself and then sell said items, like an $18k Gold Bar, for his own pocket money. Truly broken; if only he knew.

Kinda always took it like he operates on the rpg (like DoS) merchant style "merchants have finate amout of money so you can only sell limited amount". So he did have the money, but he couldn´t break the programing and actually use it for medicin.

I saw a cool theory that the money merchants use to buy items from adventurers is actually the king's money so heroes and adventures can defend the kingdom, so the merchants cannot touch that money themselves. They can only spend money they've earned themselves by selling their own wares that they've grown or made.

This merchant doesnt need to sell his fruit. Look how much gold he already has when the PC sells his stuff. I never seen this much money before and now im buying the Skull or Raul for 50000 gold. He probably resells it for double the price again. ;)

Good question. Probably because I'm taking requests for fans of VLDL and this channel. I don't mind watching them again as I watch the complete seasons because they are funny as hell :) Also, I'm only on season 3. I just finished 2 last stream. Next week is Season 3. Also... I'm thinking of doing the same with the logic series and perhaps bored. I don't know though. What do you think Theo?
