It's so weird how in the Censor Slider skit they did the impossible. They managed to have Rowan simultaneously wear both more and less clothing then he normally wears in skits. Garlic pimp Greg is more devoted to his flock than Garlic farmer Greg, it's very rare for Greg to chase after his sheep like that.

LOL I was laughing last week when I said Gregg's Garlic grenades were OP and that sheep blowing up was graphic lol. I was being sarcasic and I noticed that on the youtube analytics people stopped watching after I said that and took me out of context literally like I was some woke dude lol. Too funny that art imitates life. I always thought people being bent about everything and taking people out of context just because it was easy was some cliche thing that never "really" happend. Reality shattered lol.

I'm not a speed runner either, but I do enjoy watching them. The thing is, most Speed Runners run games that they love. A lot of them get into the hobby because they have a desire to keep playing a game they really like in New ways. So, it's disingenuous to say stuff like "I play games to enjoy them" when you're comparing your experience to Speed Runners. They do to, they are just doing it differently

@DG360 oh, you did. It was more a knee-jerk reaction I had from one of the Twitch chatters. No hard feelings either way. I honestly used to think the same thing, but now I love watching it. I'm up for AGDQ and SGDQ everytime they go live. Those are charity events where Speed Runners show their stuff while supporting some great causes.

I'm half and half, regular controls for on the ground play or ground vehicles but for flight of any kind, whether your playing elite dangerous, or im flying around as batman in gotham city, or spider man with his web wings, it has to be inverted, but ground vehicles or just running around as the avatar/player character: regular controls.

Season 24!!! Here we go! Hamish bargaining with imminent death...powerful moment. This is why I only go with wired for all my gaming rig and controls. Always clear bags at your bank prior to questing/dungeons. All things must end...good and bad. Sadly leading them to thrashing a deceased equine carcass for nought. Finding a hidden game mechanic is always a combination of joy and feeling stupid. Never understood the desire to speed run, but to each their own. I might try a different class, character, faction, or direction... but no speed run for me. Ooh... never substitute inferior ingredients to an important concoction. Ah, memories of leveling in Westfall. Mrs. Saldean's pie... Whoa! Balance that slider Britt...

Me and the missus speed ran the forest done it in 3 in game days. We've also enjoyed the game we both have like 1000 hrs in the game. We had 1 hard survival mode game we went 120 days b4 one of us died.

To answer your question I don't understand speed running. I play games to immerse myself in other worlds and take my time to do what I want to do in them, I have a specific OCD way that I play games. Trying to get through a game as fast as possible doesn't make sense to me.

So I used to be non inverted. But when I play flight Sims I'd always have them inverted. When I started playing Anthem I kept screwing up cause going from on ground to flight would make my brain shift to inverted automatically but seeing I'm still a person and when aiming the controls are non inverted. So, before that game completely flopped, I ended up switching all my controls on every game to inverted so I'd stop having that issue. Then anthem died and I still play inverted because it'd be a pain to switch back again.

Speedrun is an art. They take a game, find all the devs errors and use them to their advantage, very clever.

I used to play Star Fox 64 religiously, to the point where I was challenging myself, going through the hardest path, without losing a single wingman in under 1h. Nothing WR worthy, but that's the closest I think I ever got to speed running...

Btw, for "pat the dog video" I think you will have to watch it independently because it doesn't seem that video is included in EPic NPC man Seasons videos (at least not now, despite video being 1 year old). Not sure if they missed it or deliberate not include it.

Why do people hate console way better than pc besides the frame rate handling I mean how many buttons does a keyboard have? A controller has less and is simplified it has a joystick which actually makes sense instead of pressing w A controller fits in your hand a keyboard doesnt

Yes but at the same time, a mouse has more precision than a joystick when it comes to things like aiming down sights. A keyboard allows for more complex mobility tactics than a controller in games like Warframe where mobility matters. A keyboard can type messages in text chat faster than a controller can, allowing them to get back to the game at hand. Having more buttons doesnt necessarily make the game more complex or hard to control if not all of the keys are being used. Being simpler to use can sometimes come at the cost of gameplay mechanics being harder to make use of or straight up impossible.

It does count since claim that you can't do X (x being some act like for example patting the dog or crossing the log) is incorrect and in fact you can do X. In both instances Ben claimed that Rowan couldn't do those two things, Rowan proved him wrong despite it involved breaking the game to achieve that. So if you had lets say creature that could break law of physics to do X, while laws of physics render it pretty much impossible otherwise, that creature could sill do X and thus be correct that X can be done (at least by that creature). In relation to game mechanics it means using a glitch to get result that isn't supposed to happen but is possible. For example while it may not have been intended for player get outside of bounds of map in the game because invisible barrier blocks player, however if due to glitch it may be achieved making it possible to get outside of the map. So claim "It's not possible to get outside of the map" is incorrect, since it's possible even if not intended.

@nagatouzumaki3492 Again, since the attempt at doing so, contextualizing especially the first event with the log, the point was to cross over the log to travel to another specific destination. In the attempt to do so, while he did cross the log, he failed to both even continue onto his destination and most critically ever arrive there via this path. During the second event, the goal was to pet the dog. One could argue that he "did so." However, once again, he failed to continue any objective after the fact by way of breaking the game in its entirety. However, seeing as the inherent goal was to pet the animal, I will concede that Rowan has been correct once.

@@adarkwind4712 What you've said is factually irrelevant to possibility/ability of crossing the log and doesn't make Ben right or Rowan wrong. If I make statement "I can lift that 10 ton truck with my bare hands" and another person tells me that I can't because that's physically impossible and then I proceed to lift it with my bare hands then I was right and person said I can't do it wrong. Now lets say I get heart attack after I lifted it and I died as consequence of me lifting that. That's irrelevant to that I was right in my claim that I could do that and person that said I couldn't was wrong in that claim, since negative consequence of me lifting truck doesn't disprove I couldn't lift it, it merely demonstrates there is a cost to me due that I lifted it. Now applying it in relation to initial goal Ben and Rowan had in regard to log. That's also irrelevant, since dispute about ability to step over the log started as result of them trying get to the destination but was not what dispute was about. Dispute between Ben and Rowan was about ability to step over the log, Ben took position it's not possible to step over the log, Rowan took position it's possible to step over the log. Rowan did menage to step over the log, thus Ben was wrong in his claim. Now Rowan was right but that doesn't mean there was no cost to stepping over that log (but they didn't bicker about whether there was negative consequence to crossing that log, only whether it was possible to do so). As for pat the dog. Patting the dog was not even tied to trying to achieve any objective other what Rowan wanted ie patting the dog. What Rowan achieved and went his way. Naturally, again this would still not be relevant whether he achieved his other objective. Since subject of dispute was not whether he would achieve some other objective by doing so, only whether it was possible to pat the dog. Ben took position it was not possible, Rowan took position it was possible. Rowan did pat the dog, so again Rowan was correct and Ben wrong. So in both instances Rowan was correct and Ben wrong. It's simply that while Rowan does prove that he was correct in him being able step over the log it backfires on him. So it's more instance while he correctly identified something he could do doesn't translate to whether he should do that thing he could do.

@nagatouzumaki3492 in fact it does because, as I said, the stated goal was crossing the log to continue on their journey not simply "crossing the log" if all that they were trying to do was cross the log you would be correct. However as that is not the case I am afraid that no matter what objection you have you are categorically incorrect.

I speedrunned Super Meat Boy, but that was already kinda a core game thing there. Not much for speedrunning though, I like to take it slow, like a boat.

I only did speed run once with game called dragon dogma. Did it because had 2 unique armors that could only get beating speedrun mode. Thankfully it allowed new game + mode so wasn't a question of difficulty. However I was mislead into believing you had to beat game in 1 hour to get unique armor at end. So it was most intense game play making sure everything was perfect. I pulled it off and of course the new armor sucked. And learned that it didn't matter what time you beat game as long as you beat speedrun mode. I kind of understand the adrenaline rush but only for certain games that lend itself to be a speed run game. Skyrim is example that would be stupid to skip all game play to just beat it fast. But Super mario is not bad game to do it on.

First off, some PC games, especially ports, work better with controllers. So don't shame Ben. Driving in Cyberpunk and playing Spiderman Remastered are just made for a controller. On Speed Running. I've never tried it, closest I've done is to get a no damage no/low save run in games like Alien Isolation or Resident Evil.
