Hmm. If you've succeeded in locating the problematic part of a board, why not at least visually inspect and resolder components? The distortion could be caused by bad solder joint, seen that many times. Also some capacitors could be bad, and started to work after an initial charge. However, Matsushita usually used good capacitors at the time, and these Marantz models were probably made by Matsushita. I'm disappointed by the quality of the PCB - it's made of FR-2 resin-bonded paper, not a proper epoxy-bonded glass.

Hello and thank you for your feedback. I checked the solder joints, and they appeared just perfect. There are wires wrapped around posts, by the factory (they are not soldered to the posts). I think that that might be the most probable cause. However, I prefered to keep it as it is, because it was still completely original, and it is an item on my cousin's possession: it the issue reappears, I can try to solder them later. In that case, I would make a new video. :-)
