your class 1 is valid for 1 year, after which you get 1 year to renew it. In case you do not renew it within that 1 year time period, you will have to go for a re-initial. In other words, a re-initial is done after 2 years from your class 1, given that you have not renewed it.

One doubt i have , i have completed my Class 1 initial and recieved the soft copy of my assessment but yet to recieve the hard copy of same. in that case should i go ahead with the soft copy of it or still need to go to the DGCA to take the hard copy ? i tried to call on dgca helpline number regarding same query still no response. can u please help me with this.

Soft copy will work, it's equally same. And btw I didn't receive the hard copy as well 😅.
