Yea, I have been a brand new fan for as far as i can remember. I think 02 or 03 if i remember right. To me, the bands grows as i grow. I am now a few months from 30, and I am anxiously waiting their new album and I hope the rumors are fucking wrong. If this is Brand News last album, idk what i will do. I have never meet them, but i saw them live once. In Maine at a college, brand new and dashboard confessional. It was a rocking show. Their music has ALWAYS been there for me, and i wish that someday i can be there for someone as much as Brand news music has been there for me.

Its too bad Jesse Lacey turned out to be an absolute monster, my heart breaks for his victims. I was lucky to have seen them on their farewell tour before the reports came out about Jesse, it took me years before I could listen to Brand New again. Just made me feel dirty. The worst part is, Jesse put it all out there in the lyrics and we all just said "wow, this guy is a great artist" and didn't' wonder if he was advertising to the world how he treated people being absolutely awful.

hushthesky I did that with Manchester Orchestra's latest release, COPE. They were my favorite band for...years. And then that album drops and I was sooooo inherently excited and was disappointed in it. I thought that I was let down by the greatest band in my world. Then I found Brand New to fill the void that COPE left, and boy did it fill it. Now Brand New is on top of the world for me...MO and BN are like 1A and 1B for me lol.. But a few months later I gave COPE a true listen that it deserves because I have gotten 3 incredible albums before...and guess what? I love it now. Jesse Lacey, among other musicians like Andy Hull, Kevin Devine, etc. can never disappoint me because they fill the my musical world. Just don't overhype yourself and become disappointed please! They will not release something that isn't better than the last, and that is quoting them.

Maddy Luax It's from the bible. in the Book of Daniel, old testament, at a banquet hosted by King Belshazzar, a disembodied hand appears and writes "mene, mene, tekel, upsharian" on the wall , this message is interpreted as the imminent end for the Belshazzar's kingdom. That night, Belshazzar is killed and the Persians flee the capital, so I think it' basically means something along the lines of IMPENDING DOOM, whether Brand New are aware of this idk but it kind of makes sense to me
