Maybe they don't really care...maybe we should just start reading books, again. Anyways, congrats to Jesse...but after watching this event for days what an anti climax. Great coverage! Both commentary and editing. Would be nice to get scores on the chase card check-ins as well as top 10 scores after each hole or atleast 2-3 times per 9. The field is so competative so it is really interesting to see whats happening in front of the lead card as you know they are checking scores as they play

Incredible quality on this post-production, really well done and the commentary was top-notch (especially from Elias). One small detail: showing and saying that Paul finished T4 before Niklas took his putt kinda spoiled that Niklas will make the putt.

He was leading at the start of final, so that would make it natural to feature him on the pic. So for me it was not spoiled in this case. But I do agree with you guys. Group pic, tournament logo, pic of the trophy would be much better.

You can tell who makes their putt first as the 4 player cards always pop up before that. Maybe they should appear before the first putt attempt, not the first make? 🙂

Awesome coverage, especially love the drone shots which could be used more often on holes that are otherwise hard to track - maybe a bit more zoomed in. As already mentioned, chase card checkins would be more useful if you could show their score so we'd know how they are positioned compared to the lead card, especially when you're not showing the scores between holes yet. Just take care to not spoil it by starting to show players doing well too early in the round (didn't really happen here because the chase card players couldn't catch up, but in my opinion it was obvious too early that the two chase card players shown will be having good rounds). Also, to repeat myself, the scores not being equalized hole-by-hole is confusing on easy courses like this, because as a viewer you don't know how many birdies the players are expecting to get before the end. It is even worse when you don't show how many holes the others have already played. I think even your commentators at least in their words overestimated the chances of the other cards because of this. For me it would be nice to see columns like "the remaining 7 holes for this player play on average at -4.3 so with an average performance they are expected to finish at -18.3" but maybe that's too much of a stat nerd dream.

Just curious, Ive never seen wood poles attached to trees before… Are those to protect the trees?

Yes, common practice at least in Finland. Otherwise the trees would be beaten up so badly that those trees would die within 4-5 years (obviously depending the popularity of that course) and then they could be falling down creating some danger as well as modifying the original intent/shotshape of that hole. In short; protecting the tree keeps that hole similar and safer in the long run.

Thats just tradition in Czech Republic, in Konopiste open to be more specific. This tournament was held in Copenhagen, Denmark.

I enjoy watching the highlights of sporting events. But seriously KZbin...why do you show the picture of the winner in the thumbnail. I don't want to know who wins UNTIL I WATCH IT! Seeing Jesse Nieminen's smiling face in the thumbnail told me what was going to happen and sapped all the excitement out of an event I had been following for days. KZbin you've been doing sports for quite a while now but you don't really seem to understand what the excitement of a sporting event is all about. Maybe I should go back to reading books.
