Well done! This is what small boat sailing is all about. I suppose for the long downwind run you could have rigged a preventer to stop an accidental gybe. But going forward on an M15 is rather challenging underway, so I get it! I am sailing a SCAMP now, and would be not too happy trying to go forward to rig a preventer.

Looks like a good time was had by all! Sailing there sure is a lot different than in the East.

I am so emotional watching this video. It’s been 2 years now without my sailboat. It was a lot like yours. It was a Danica16 that really was 15 feet. I use to do things just like you in this video. Trailer-sailing is the way to go. I hope to see more of your adventures over the summer.

Inspiring! Princess Louisa is on my bucket list but haven't made it there yet. Haven't considered trailering all the way to the end of the road to start the voyage though.... Thanks for sharing your video.

Great video! How did you hook up the gas can to the Honda motor?
@dgrah5 ай бұрын
Thanks! You can kind of see the system in the video at about 11 minutes in. On this trip we used a 3.5 gallon can with an about 6 foot long fuel hose and fuel bulb to pump gas through the hose. I purchased a replacement gas cap for the motor, took out its innards, drilled a hole to accept a 90 degree fitting to connect the hose to. I also drilled a small vent hole in the cap. We usually run the motor until it starts to falter and then pump the tank on the motor full. It typically takes around 30 squeezes to fill the tank on the motor.

Another nice vid. Any tips on organization for those days upon the waters? Thank you.

Thanks! No profound tips. We approach trips on the boat a lot like a car camping trip.

Well done, guys! The stove support looks like a good rig - is that standard or DIY?
@dgrah6 ай бұрын
Thanks! The table we put the stove on we also eat off of. It is do-it-yourself based on a concept I read about on the Montgomery email group. It works great!
