Suho said himself that the theme for this album is time. While he was serving in military, he had so many thoughts especially when he was away from his fans, Exo-Ls. He was one of the co-writers of the Grey Suit tracks because those were his conveyed thoughts for us. Now that he's back, he said in this track "TOGETHER AGAIN, NO MORE GREY" which means he won't be separated from us anymore. 😊

I'm beyond extatic you're back on the exo train, please never leave or keep coming back until u see everything their group discography is phenomenal, their solos are jst so quality and so interesting you'll love it all. Grey suit is essentially abt suho's mind state while he was in the military watching the other exo members release their solo albums and interacting with the fans while he had to be away for 2 years. Now he's back hence the "no more grey" line in the song as a promise to the exo-ls (fandom name) and music in a more global sense that he won't leave again.

As expected, you did a great reaction and made me realize a lot of things about this video too! Suho is the leader of EXO and this is his first comeback after 18 months in the military. This song and the entire album is about the time he spent away from EXO and EXO-Ls (fandom) and he participated in the production of all the songs. One of his inspirations for this work is Momo, a book also called The Men in Grey. These men in grey are creatures that steal human's time. Suho read this during his enlistment and said that it made he think a lot about how to use/pass his time in a meaningful way. And it's very nice that this song talks about the grey color because his first solo work (self-portrait) was all about showing his true colors as an artist and it had a "Van Gogh aesthetic" very colorful. Ah, all the water references is because in EXO's storyline SUHO is the one who has the ability to control water. ☺️ And as expected of a EXO member, his vocal is amazing!

The metaphors refer to his time in the military. He was away from us for 2 years, and he just came back. It’s EXO’s enlistment era: quite gray times for us.

Also.. Fun fact.. Suho participated in writing the lyrics.. And basically it's bout Exo and Exol. Suho was in the military and got discharged lately. So he kinda addressed the distance he had with the exols during his military service. And now that he is back, so the time won't be grey or sad anymore.

Thank you so much... Glad you liked it. Suho is the leader of Exo... He's a great singer and multi talented... As you might have read in the previous comments (not sure if you did) but Exo members have a storyline and superpowers as they are from another planet. Suho's power is water. This is why here he's actually seen controlling the Raindrops. Hope you'll check out more songs of Exo.. There's so many good songs.

Great interpretation btw, All the lyrics were written by him , yes he was expressing his feelings which turn into grey, No, it's not about a relationship or a breakup song. As a korean man , Suho had to stop making music for 2 years and went to mandatory military service, this unwanted hiatus created a sadness in him and that feeling was grey to him. So basically Suho is the leader of one of the legendary group called EXO, they basically used to dominate the kpop industry from 2013 , they were unbeatable to the point that there were no competition for them , Later they had to take a break because of military service, they are 9 members group so one by one they are doing the service,so the group went in hiatus and that time BTS became really really huge( also EXO never promoted in the west while BTS was slowly becoming popular in America)Since group is in hiatus until 2025, members decide to do solo projects Solo Album/Acting/ musical etc, and they are still became the top in all this sector too, Suho felt left out when he saw his members are connecting with fans through solo projects , making music .so he wrote whole album to express his emptiness,now he came back , his life started to become colorful.

Yes he is talking about his fans and going back on stage. Because both these things mean a lot to him.... He has just returned from his mandatory military service... And here he speaks of time he spent in the past 2 years thinking that he has been left behind while the world moved on... He just wanted to go on the stage meet his fans... And shrug that grey feeling away... That's why Grey Suit.... Using Metaphors is a beautiful way is his style.... Besides he wrote the lyrics... That's how you know he meant what he sang... I am amazed at how you interpret each details in the mv. Suho's Grey Suit is really a precious masterpiece for us exo-l's since Suho has been serving military for 2years and we waited for this so much. I am glad that you appreciate this! Suho has a soft, angelic voice that really goes well in soothing songs like this. Thank you for this reaction. I was one of the people who shed some tears with this song LOL, but only because I knew his inspiration behind grey suit was that he missed EXOLs and felt the years he was away in the military were stagnant and emotionless. I could tell he wanted nothing more than to be back performing and being around those he loves and so this gift of an album was just his thoughts while being away and wanting to embrace us once again…”together again, no more grey” typing this out makes me want to sob again hahah….great insights again btw!!! I'm still watching your video but I got u. The song you meant is Creep from Radiohead, right? I don't know if you realized later on the video but I got the same feeling the first time I heard it, I'm feeling like it gets less related the more I listen to Grey suit, that because I've been discovering unique details each time, but yes, the cozy scene and yet nostalgic is like hearing Creep for the first time.
