This SLAYED me, oh my gosh. Stronghart really is the most melodramatic ace attorney character; he’s constantly backlit and has live birds in his GIANT CLOCK-FACE office. The interstitial bits you selected for this were fantastic as well! Stronghart getting out the aux cord for his gramophone really feels in the style of TGAA too, for some reason…too many shenanigans happen in that courtroom to keep track. (Gotts as the little German boy also really made me chuckle - Yippee! 🎉) Also, happy early Pride, everyone! 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

His whole vibe is just like, “I can’t let anyone upstage me”, (but he’s surrounded by people with the most intricate back stories and complex designs so he really has to full-send it if he wants to stand out).

Watching this for the 50th time makes me kinda wonder what it’d be like if the story was the same however Stronghart wasn’t the one running everything and it was someone else (not in an out of nowhere or someone we’ve not seen before way), just making Stronghart this weirdly behaving guy who really loves justice lol

Though it’d be funny if it was like what they jokingly said when he’s first giving a case 1-3 and he just looks evil but isn’t actually evil at all just likes the look. @Samuel DH part of me wishes for that just because I live for the jokes and the other part of me is glad they went with what they went with but wishes they committed harder to the bit. It would make more sense for Stronghart to be more prevalent in the first game just to start to see his hand in things and also get to meet his collaborators like Sithe sooner just to develop their characters more as a whole In summary: either go all in or not at all

Eyyy revisit the playthrough! DGS was a fun game series. It had its flaws, no doubt, but I had fun, and that's what left an impression on me. They're just fun characters

@Wanderer pacing is inconsistent. Tbh, the story could use one over in editing to make it a more tight and consistent narrative. I'd like to see more of Stronghart working behind the scenes in the first game instead of acting as a red herring, for example, but that's just a personal preference. Another is, while I understand windibank's shop was explored extensively before any crime for a reason, from a meta perspective, it honestly makes less sense within the story itself why Ryuunosuke and susato would be so nosey. It was also an odd choice to split the last two cases of game 2 like that. Of course, it's always easier to critique a thing rather than make it all together so, overall, I still think it's a fun game

I get what they were trying to do, putting a creative spin on Moriarty like they did other Holmes characters, but it became pretty evident that they were really trying to shoehorn some plot points together to tie everything up. Don’t get me wrong, I still love the games too, but that aspect irked me quite a bit.
