I would embrace Caitlin Ryan more if she wasn't too heartless and mean at times, Epilepsy or not. I hated Caitlin ever since she treated Joey unfairly after he didn't get mad at her for cheating on him with Claude during Degrassi High, but when Joey did the same thing with Tessa Campanelli during "School's Out", she lashed out at him. She lost my respect ever since she left Joey and refused to marry him for no legitimate reason during TNG for her personal gain. For someone coming from a liberal family like the Ryan's, Caitlin's behaviour is not acceptable.

Caitlin Ryan betrayed Joey Jeremiah during Degrassi High, Season 1, when she was seeing Claude Tanner. Have to admit that it was Joey's fault for being sexist, especially the previous episode. At least Joey Jeremiah wasn't mean or hard on her. However, when Joey Jeremiah cheats on Caitlin for Tessa Campanelli during "School's Out", instead of being calm about the situation like Joey was during Degrassi High "Everybody Wants Something", she lashes out at him and doesn't give a second chance. Caitlin uses Joey again during "The Next Generation" when she leaves him for her personal gain. "In this world, you're either the minnow or a barracuda", and Caitlin is exactly that, a barracuda. Its no wonder why she gets the nickname "Ice Maiden" or "Ice Princess".
