I never liked Dhalsim before until I discovered KZbin. Still don't win with him, but you know there's god-like potential in him. This video shows it. Hard as hell to use though. Can't be close too much, if at all, unless you want to be demolished.

This video is invaluable to a Dhalsim player. It gives a good look at Sim's matchups and how to handle the different characters. I only wish I would have seen Claw or Chun LI because those are the 2 characters that I still have the most trouble with. 5 stars.

Claw is Vega in the american version of SF. In Japan he was named Balrog. American Balrog was named M. Bison(Mike Bison) in Japan and American M. Bison was named Vega. The names were changed around to avoid a potential lawsuit from Mike Tyson. Naturally, since not everybody played the american version, the SF community came up with universal nicknames to avoid confusion. Vega/Balrog=Claw, Balrog/M. Bison=Boxer, and M. Bison/Vega=Dictator. Hope that clears it up.

This is the Japanese version of the SF series. in Japan Balrog is Mike Byson, M. Bison is Vega, and Vega is Balrog. The reason why they switched the names in the US version was to avoid copyright infringement for having a boxer called Mike Byson (Mike Tyson).

Jumped back and did LK drill as soon as possible. Good tactic for getting past fireballs but the players needs good reactions and to be standing at the right distance

@delatroy HDR is not Super Turbo. They are totally different in terms of balance. Plus the fact that a single guy fucking the tier list doesn't mean it is off. You can play any character "rock hard". It has nothing to do with the tier list, in which Gief ranks low.

Dhalsim is top tier in a lot of games he appears in. He's top tier in nearly every SF2 game. SF2WW he is the only useable character besides Guile. CE, ST, A3 as well. In the versus series he is A tier, just below the S-tier Wolverine/Omega Red. Dhalsim is also top tier, just below the God tier of Storm/Sent/Cable/Mag. He is in the same tier as Iron Man for God sake,. He just take god like execution so few can bring out his full potential. Dhalsim just isn't easy

In HD Remix he's balanced, if that's what you're talking about. In good ol' SF2, his air fireballs are simply unbeatable, no character in the game has any way at all of dealing with them. That is why he's broken and that is why he's banned.

Yes, Boxer is a top tier character in 2X, but Claw is a far worse match up for Sim than Boxer. Sim can still zone quite well against Boxer, but that's not possible vs Claw.
