Yeah, this was certainly not the usual scenic travel VLOG , but rather an important story I felt that I had to tell. What I admire most is the spirit of the people in Dharavi, the pride in what they do, and the humility the have , despite all the appalling living conditions . I have a lot of admiration , and respect for them. Thanks for watching , more stories to tell... stay tuned !

The effort to offer a nice picture of the India's largest slum, actually creates in a watcher like me, a sense of horror and sorrow for the disgraceful social conditions that the capitalistic world is obliging so many people to live daily. The 1B$ annual revenue definitely goes in the wrong direction if the sanitisation status is not even comparable to what a Roman city was able to offer in 40 AD! All sounds to me like a travel agency trying to sell me the idea that choosing a holiday in Hell is really a smart move. This little documentary has offered a voice to all these poor people to ask for visibility and recognition, whereas the giants like Ray-Ban or Nike make many more millions of dollars selling glasses or shoes that will be recycled and will return back in the hands of the same poor worker in the slum. At the end of the video I am left with a terrible and sad feeling in my heart.

My dear Carlo, I so appreciate this deep and very honest emotional feedback. Yes indeed - we are absolutely living in a world of double standards , and it is easy to ignore the plight of the less fortunate people in society. Though there is a silver lining in the story, that these people have taken initiatives, and do what they can to create a honest livelihoods for themselves and their children's, and that i have not seen any child labor or such ! I have a docu on the garment industry in Bangladesh coming in 2023 - the situation there is sadly so soo much worse ! But in my videos on this channel - I aim to take people on the roads LESS traveled, and show the things that many people miss. Cultural, as well as humanitarian or environmental. Thanks for watching & supporting the channel . There are so much more stories to be told ...

Thank you ! YES the world must know that not all people are fortunate and have access to good living conditions. Truth matters. You are in Bangladesh, there the living conditions are terrible aswell - Dhaka is a lot worse than Mumbai !

Thanks for the love and support, keep on watching - there is a LOT more content on the way. Some a bit off the comfort zones like this one here, some a lot more scenic - but all positive and with a fair balance of fun, and education

Facts! There are many unfortunate underprivileged people on this planet, but there is also so much hope, and inspiration. We can all learn from each other and unite to eradicate the ugly things in life, such as poverty, hate and greed. Thanks you so much for taking the time to comment

Thanks, glad you liked it. This topic was not the usual "scenic" and " picturesque" travel-vlog but I felt it was OK to dare take the audience slightly outside of their comfort zones.. Don't miss out on the latest BALI adventure drop.
