Be very careful who has your ear in your life. This was so helpful asking God who I had to set stricter boundaries with. Dr. Dharius usually says loves everyone equally, but not everyone adds the same value to you. Everything about this sermon is good. God will make people uncomfortable in your life. It's why when you're moving in new Seasons, some live in the old and only see the old version of you they met. Spiritual growth also means that you have to outgrow people in your life who aren't pushing you to be better.

I literally had a friend that kept trying to remind me that where I used to work was 'not the same,' In her words as she's a University student again where we attended post secondary, and I was basically smh and said to myself, to God be the glory. Some people want your past , but God reminds us that we can have the future too. You're right. Some people aren't going to be necessary for you as you move forward in faith.

Yes!!! Loool , we laugh but it's so true. And these days people don't have to say things to their face. It can come up with them talking with friends of the previous version of yourself that you used to be. It's not worth shrinking ourselves to fit into a mold with some who don't desire to grow , aren't allergic to average or value complacency. There are Christians like this unfortunately. Thats why people can attend a building, but their lives never transformed or radically changed.
