My goodness...this is so good. I so relate to Saul, cause I was him not too long ago. Truly, insecurity comes from how we view and feel about our heavenly Father. All insecurity comes from a wrong understanding of God and His love for us. Somewhere along the way....we believed a lie. Once we finally develop intimacy with Him through reading, meditating on His word, and prayer, we can dispel the lies we've believed, and NO ONE will be competition. Nor will you feel the unhealthy need to compare. The cure for comparison is GRATITUDE! The enemy loves to keep us stuck with insecurity.

(I was looking for this last night but here I am, Monday afternoon.) 1 Samuel 18:6-11 “Trapped by Triggers” Languishing: to wither; to rot; diminish; weakening • Insecurity is contributing to many peoples languishing. ** Some people aren’t trapped because of insecurity, itself but trapped by the triggers of insecurity.. how mercy Lord “Everyone wants to be a: David; Nobody wants to be a Saul”™️ Flourishing (psalms 92:12) The last thing that we want to is: Compare More ain’t more; it’s a metron. When you’re trapped and triggered by insecurity: 1: Overlooking one’s achievements /wisdom 2: Acting irrational towards an ally 3: Gave access to an evil spirit The one thing that you won’t stop doing will be the thing that you can’t stop doing.

Comparison triggers insecurity. Some triggers can be resolved with supernatural intervention; however for others , we have to Manage our triggers:1) Don’t overlook your own achievements, 2) Don’t act irrationally towards an ally, 3) Insecurity gave access to an evil spirit under Gods jurisdiction. I'm glad that you did not purport to 100% understand that as many preachers will do. God is a mystery indeed. That verse serves as a reminder for us all to humble ourselves.
