I'm an adult intermediate and I've always been the lone male in my classes. Like anything, the women are understandably timid at first and that's mainly because many of them have actually never had a male in their class. But their timidness soon evaporates when they realize what I'm there for. After that, it's Martinis after class and tons of laughter with me and my girlfriend. My girlfriend paints and does pottery and I do ballet.

The female dancers actually need the male dancers and most respect them very much. They are very talented. In fact, originally, male dancers were the only types of ballet dancers. @aislyndelarosa15833 жыл бұрын
@@tehnoobleader7673 no, biologically, it's dangerous BUT a man is scientifically more able to do things like ballet than a woman is to play things like football against a man. There are ballet routines that require men. Ballet was originally MADE for men so again, you are arguing a dead point. Ballet became more about flexibility and feminine when women were able to dance ballet. Also, I myself HAVE played sports against men and they don't hold back as well. Granted, it's volleyball and not football but I still played with men hitting straight at me. It's not impossible either way but it's more dangerous for a female to play contact sports with males than it is for men to do things like dance so again, that also makes your point dead.
@tehnoobleader76733 жыл бұрын
@@aislyndelarosa1583 so what your saying is, ballet dancing was for men but when women came in it became more feminine, which means men will have a harder time doing it.... And if it was invented by men and done by men, why don't boys get roles which require manly dances instead of the same old routine? I mean the only reason I've seen guys do ballet dances is to create balance, they are doing it to get better at something else, not to pursue a passion in ballet dancing so that's completely out of the window

As someone who has been doing ballet their entire life, I think the stereotype that comes with males in ballet is one that needs to be broken. Many people think if men do ballet, it means they are automatically gay when that’s really not the case. I have met many male ballet dancers who genuinely love the art of ballet despite their sexuality. There have even been studies that show football players and other athletes do ballet to help improve strength, balance, and coordination. So let’s please all remember, gender and sexuality does not define passion. Follow your dreams because with hard work and dedication, you can be anything :)

We see the message the other way around so much, and yet when we finally see the reversed, you make it so he goes back to what his dad wanted in the first place. He pretty much proved his dad right in the fact it was 'just a phase'. I completely agree with you. I feel that it kinda “proved” the dads point, and it’s really aggravating to see this, especially if the message should have meant that not everything is a phase and that you can be who you wanna be no matter what. The end just defeated he whole purpose. If you’ve been working so hard to be something like that, the one failure shouldn’t have made him think that it was only a phase, like I mean come on, just cuz he lost once was enough to make him give up on his “dream.” I’m not too happy with this one. This video would have been better if you had somewhere mentioned that there are famous men who are ballet dancers! Years ago, i had just moved to Toronto after my mother had passed away. I lived for a time with my oldest sister and we went to the CNE "Canadian National Exposition" and believe it or not Mikhail Nikolayevich Baryshnikov was there with a ballet group and did a performance. My sister and I were sitting in the front row and it total awe of watching the performance. Yes Girls do ballet, but I have yet to see a show on tv or in the movies where there were ONLY girls. Men/boys have important roles, too! The Nut Cracker Sweet Ballet is and has always been my most favorite performance!
