Everyone does NOT deserve a second chance. I live with narcissistic/toxic family members and every time I give them a second chance I end up getting abused again, mentally, emotionally and psychologically. You have to cut people off and love them from a distance, but that's something enabling abusers always get mad about it. They expect you to tolerate abuse. Just because they're family does NOT mean I have to tolerate being abused and bullied. 😡

I understand that we shouldn't overextend hatred, and not be quick to judge. But this portrayal of your actions in public especially negatively toward other people, matters in the long run. 3 different people were either unfairly reprimanded, shamed in public, or nearly lost their business all in the name because the person lashing out, was a victim the whole time wanting to save face. Imagine the other people we don't see that were treated badly. Even if domestic abuse is involved this could have been written better.

Look, I get it. She was horrible to those people, but you have to realize there’s no black and white in this story. Yes, forgiveness is important. But, at the same time you shouldn’t let hard times turn you into a hard person, which was what Sandra did. I believe the story would be better written if after Sandra’s circumstances were explained that the characters point out how Sandra made the choice to deal with her situation the way she did when she was mean to them. I feel like the two lessons should be: 1). You never know what someone is going through and 2). No matter how hard your situation is, don’t let hard times turn you into a hard person. You’re ultimately responsible for your choices. So I think everyone had something to learn.

Soo are we really expected to feel bad about a character who lashes out at people just because she couldn't control her anger? Or atleast take it out in private? Is this the message you're portraying to kids now dhar mann? "Forgiv you bullies even f tey pound u and make a burger out of u cuz they might be abused by theyre parents"?
@paolotorres85374 ай бұрын
It’s not about feeling bad, but rather putting yourself in the other person’s shoes. Honestly, everyone who thinks this video is about feeling bad for someone was mean to others is completely missing the point. Interestingly, Dhar Mann made a video about empathy, and there the main character confused it with sympathy (which is feeling sorry for others). That video basically demonstrates how empathy is simply thinking how others feel and what they might be going through. This story isn’t really black and white. No we shouldn’t undercut the importance of putting yourself in another person’s place and at least understand what they’re going through. However, I feel like the other lesson should’ve been that no matter how hard your situation is, you shouldn’t let it turn you into hard person, which is what Sandra did.

@@RealLostApoc Did you not even read what I said? It's not about feeling sorry for the person (frankly, a LOT of people mistakenly think that). It's simply putting yourself in another person's shoes. However, like I said, I think the story would've been better written if the affected characters also mentioned to both the teacher and to Sandra that just because someone goes through hard times doesn't mean they should let it make them a hard person. I don't think that is mutually exclusive with the message about forgiveness in any way. So if anything, EVERYONE had something to learn in this story.
