My Dad was Sarakatsianos from Velestino and use to walk 30000 sheep with all the GIANNAKOS Family all the way to Vermio up at Seli through Sarantaporo,my Dad and all my Uncles were born on the way up there 1935 to 1965.

My grandmother and her family made the 2X year trek from Pleasa to Almyros. 620 to 670 miles each way, depending on the route. Well into her 80s she could walk miles and miles in Queens New York just to hit a variety of grocery and specialty stores. Great film.
