Kinda overdoing it if you only want to make a terrarium (for example) from to time. I think this is more suitable for someone who sells glass articles as a source of income. Never the less: the instructions are excellent and very well detailed. Sadly enough, it doesn't tell how much weight it can take before it snaps, for example if you would fill it with water. And if the products are environment friendly (fish, plants,...).

I'm just going to go out on a limb here and boldly say "Theres nothing "simple" about what is demonstrated in this video". Additionally it doesn't appear to be cost effective either.

i'm going to go out on another limb and say most of this kit is stuff you can DIY, and 'special cleaner' is probably watered down white vinegar that hardly 'specially formulated' for glass. i mean, you're hitting it with a heat gun *then* a torch, so i dare say whatever contaminates are they are burned away.

Bohle UV Adhesive Verifix® B 665-0 UV curing · thin and crystal clear · good capillary action · for bonding glass to glass · low viscosity · time-saving · not waterproof over time. So not for aquarium or terrarium. Well suited for glass tables, bookshelves, and vanities.

The F*** bombs were appropriate. I was lead to believe this was an instructional, not a promo. This was the latter. He sure knows how handle glass, but it's really unnecessary for a table. Would've liked a real-world example, not a "lab" example.

@ryanbarker52176 жыл бұрын
not sure why so many of y'all thinks there are so many steps when they're just being very careful to make sure the bonding surfaces are absolutely clean. sure, this is fancy equipment that you can DIY, but beyond that it's cleaning, burning off what you can't see (maybe a bit overkill, idk), heating up the area for primer, and just like for acrylic add the bonding stuff. it's UV bonded, so a UV light is needed, which are probably expensive based on the ex's tanning bed bulbs, or take it outside and let it set under the sun like you can do for curing emulsion on screenprinting screens (not the best process, but possible). sure, i'm guessing most are just making jokes about the steps, but for those who aren't joking apparently have never built anything before! lol. not sure what other methods/equipment/materials there are for this stuff, but i wonder if they are any better than this one?
