One lesson, among many, in all of this is that we should NEVER deify or glorify personalities. Focus on the collective work.

Peace & Black Power! This is Agyei Tyehimba from Harlem Liberation School. We want to thank Baba Dhoruba for his powerful analysis (as always). We also want to thank brother Jared Ball and Black Power Media for promoting the Gofundme campaign we are hosting to support Dhoruba. Thanks to your support, donations have increased by 5 times in one day. We also thank you and BPM for your own ongoing support for Dhoruba.

1:00:37 that part. I agree that nationalism is difficult to pragmatically and politically put into practice. However, to redefine what self determination means at this moment is everything, this is where intercommunalism I think is so essential for our communities.

I suspect that the ruling class is fearful that the legacy of the BPP might be having a profound influence on the Movement today.

@@michaeltee4275I came in contact with a so called New Black Panther Party chapter of Indianapolis, In. It was a very disconcerting encounter. Only 3 members as of 2023. Leadership, immature, too much ego. I was informed that People had left or were purged! Do members of the orginal Panther Party acknowledge or support the New one?

One of Huey's greatest theoretical contributions to both the class struggle and the BLM is his critique of nationalism and how the BPP TRANSCENDED it.
@michaeltee42757 ай бұрын
As valuable as Dhoruba's views on Huey are, they can only be highly subjective. Nevertheless, as an ex-Panther, I agree with most of what he has to say.

well, I would take Dhoruba's subjectivity over Apple's salaciousness any day.

Is there a central bank created for black people to assist those among us "most in need" ref. Neely Fuller? As a people, we're facing serious challenges-at least I am-with ownership, access, and control of our money. As I see it, the best way to marshal the most effective means of using our money is through organization. I know talk is cheap, but having a robust infrastructure to protect a most vital resource-funds-may be of absolute necessity at this point. I have met elders (I am one) who, near the end of life, have said to me, "I don't know what to do with my money. Should I leave with the government?" Should we leave this work up to the NAACP? Hahaha. We should be able to get our elders together and do better than we are doing. My two cents, so to speak. Peace and Blessings to you, Brother Dhoruba.

As Dhrouba has raised the point about nationalism being obsolete, particularly for Africans, can we get a segment with Ghanian activists on the recent passing of the anti-LGBT law?

I still disagree with Dhoruba that introducing the theory of intercommunalism was a move to the right.
@michaeltee42757 ай бұрын
The theory of intercommunalism needs to be studied and developed further.

Respectfully, I disagree with our Brother Dhoruba about Nationalism possiby being obsolete. If he is referring to an isolated Nationalism contained within these Afrikan countries, I agree. But if he is questioning a Pan Afrikanism, that is interconnected across States lines, I disagree. Black (Afrikans) are to continue to put all our eggs in a flaky 'Solidarity' bag? It is onething to coalition with others; yet another, to be foolish. How many years have Blacks been doing this, only to find betrayal? (I hope this conversation doesn't end up along side Molefi Asante.)

- If you mean the noise in the background, it was discussed. Dhoruba has had health challenges. He might not be about to get to a less crowded place.
