I have been teaching about him in my college courses for over 20 years. I recorded a 10 minute summary over a week ago on his life. He is a complex person. At points more of a child of the enlightenment and at others times a dictator like figure. He had a very dramatic life, one that you don't need to embellish to make a great movie about. I will be curious to see how the movie portrays him.

I love Napoleon as a person. Folks should watch Waterloo a great film made on the battle. Dhruv you have missed something on Napoleon. Napoleon suffered from a bad stomach disease that affected him his whole life and the chants of a short robber by britishers upon him. Nevertheless it's a great video.

Thirty years back ,while in school I admired two heroes from history, Napoleon and Alexander. It was a nice flashback for me to listen to this wonderful and well researched documentary on Napoleon. Lots of love and regards, Dhruv. 👍

Napoleon's era was a confusing era not only to modern day researchers but also to citizens of his empire. Firstly he was welcomed in France for his magnificent economic policies. Then he exercised complete control over the media and common people. Thus, people who welcomed him realised their own mistake. Finally, due to increasing popularity of Napolean four(Russia, Prussia, Austria and Britain) major nations' monarchs came together to assasinate him in Waterloo.
