This was great! I’m 75 years old. My granddaughter gave me her old Apple Watch when she got a new one. Your video was very enlightening. Silly, but my favorite thing was now I can add an item to my grocery list without going to o my phone. I usually think I will add it later if I remember. But almost never remember. Or I tell my husband to add it to his phone but he’s always doing something else and then he forgets. But I always have my watch on so I can do it immediately before I forget. And best of all I can add something to any of the several supermarket’s I go to and also it automatically goes to my husband’s phone. We have shared AnyList. This is so cool. Learned a lot of other things also but this was my favorite. Thanks 👍

I've made exactly the same jump - have you figured out if there's anyway to see your no. of steps and total calorie burn on the watch itself? miss seeing that info just at a glance on my charge HR4!

Yeah that is done in the activity app or add a new watch face and add the steps complication to it. I’m assuming that there is one that shows the info but can’t check for sure at the moment.

@@zahidwali - Active Digital or Modular Duo. Go under Complications and add what you want. It's not as good as the Fitbit interface until you get used to it. I hated my Apple Watch at first. I like it now that I am used to it I ask Siri to check to check my heart rate.

I purchased the Apple watch because I now live alone and the fall feature was the winner as I don’t know of any other watch that performs this function. This had a lot of information that I was not aware of so I definitely saved it! The young people have always had the computers and other things so they have no problem jumping right in. Its definately useful and when I do wear it, I find it to be most useful for finding my iPhone and then checking notifications quick. I do leave it on the dresser most of the time but only because I hate putting it on. A slide on band would make it more useful for me but I dunno... It is a great watch and I would love to use it all the time but like you mentioned there are a lot of features you wouldn't use. Now, the safety features and health tracking are very important and life saving at times.

I don’t have the capability to film under water and things like that. But apples web page has the water resistance specs. Pull them up, Google search what you can do with that specific water resistance IP rating and then decide what is best.

My apple watch does not wake up when I raise my wrist. Also, when I walk, it has quit talking to me to tell the time of each mile, and it no longer has a bell that counts down to start of the walk. I did not do anything to turn that off, so how do I turn both of things back on?

As I understand it, it will call through cellular via your iPhone or Wifi if that is available and if neither are available it may even use satellite options to make the call.

Fabulous beginner video, thank you!! I have a question about 24hr time versus 12 hr. I have changed on my apple watch and iphone to 12. It has changed to 12 on iphone but still shows as 24hr on watch. Do you have any idea why it is doing that? Thank you

Thanks so glad that it was helpful. On the Apple Watch go to settings > general > Shut Down. Then press the side button on the Apple Watch to see if it is fixes. If not, then check the Settings for the Apple Watch on the iPhone and see if it is mirroring the iPhone.

That’s odd, it is very bright for me indoors. Outside when sun is on it, it could be a little dim but for the most part the Apple Watch does a decent job. You might want to take them to Apple to have checked if it isn’t bright enough.

Ok so, I'm a total noob. If you have the wi fi version only you need to keep your phone close by? If you have the cellular version then you don't have to keep phone close? And if I get the cellular version I have to pay for another line? Thanks!
