Dhul Qarnain - The Second Qarn. Pt 1.

Is it asking too much of those who insist, with conviction, on identifying Dhul Qarnain as Cyrus, or Alexander, or anyone else, to write an essay of the subject of Dhul Qarnain and Gog & Magog? Is that asking too much? I want to know the connection between Cyrus and the barrier built by Dhul Qarnain? I want to see the evidence that Allah Most High spoke to Cyrus with the words located in Surah al-Kahf? I want to see their analysis concerning the end of Gog and Magog. @@SheikhImranHosein If I'm not wrong, the name Islam implies that whoever is in the deen should not impose their way of life on others. The evil forces, as well as people who don't understand the deen, have portrayed Islam as something we are obliged to enforce on all of humanity. We can preach the deen yes, but if someone does not want to follow that's their choice. However, when someone attacks us, we have to respond. And by making the towns and cities places of permanent residence - we endanger ourselves. Remote rural areas should've been our places of permanent residence, and whoever of us had the competence to do da'wa should have travelled to the towns and cities to try stop the attacks on Islam in order to prevent secular masses from misguidance. If then while exhausting our intellect in preaching the deen spiritual insight stopped coming down, it would be an indication to leave the people in the towns and cities and move back to our rural area.

In my humble opinion, Shaykh Imran is right to stress the importance for the followers of Prophet Muhammad to seek guidance primarily from the Qur'an to seek the truth concerning Dhulqarnayn. Allah has reminded us that "a party of them (the Jewish Rabbis), used to hear the word of Allah (in the Taurah), then they used to change it knowingly after they understood it." (al-Baqarah: 75). Al-Qur'an is The Criterion (al-Furqan) and those who follow Prophet Muhammad should use the Qur'an to differentiate truth from falsehood. I would like to suggest that the Jewish Rabbis have done the same thing on the story of Dhulqarnayn by mixing the truth in the scripture with falsehood written by them. Therefore the Jewish Rabbis thought that no one after them will know the truth about Dhulqarnayn as they felt they are the only one that should monopoly the truth. They asked Prophet Muhammad about Dhulqarnayn (Surah al-Kahf verse 83) to test him whether he is a true prophet of Allah who received direct revelation from Him and to see whether Prophet Muhammad could relate the true story about Dhulqarnayn which has been corrupted by them before. And Allah knows best.

Sheik Imram Hosein already helped me a lot...but it's difficult to understand arabic language and Qu'ran I don't know... My mind always was, that God gave us different keys...to 1 house...and we have the chance to listen to the other. There seems to be actually no truthful, spiritual guide better than SIH. Aslaam alaikum every. This is a message for Mr sheik imran and hussain and everyone who reads this comment. I have been fascinated with the story of dhul qurnayn for several years now and also surah al kahf. Throughout the years I have listened to several different tafseers on surah al khaf. I don't have enough knowledge to interperate it and also make sense of it. However, however. As of very recently after pondering and listening to shiekh please someone tell me. I don't belive the great Dhul qurnaayn who is mentioned in the holy sacred and glorious quran is alexandra the great or even cyrus. Its enough for me to belive Allah subhanallah watallah mentioned him in the quran as dhul qurnayn everything else is irrelevant. . Message to Shikeh imran hussain. Could it be, and remember have an open mind and remember he is mentioned in surah al khaf. The start of surah al khaf is based on the people of the cave who were sleeping for 300 year plus. Remember that keep that in your mind. Now the last part of surah al kahf mentions dhul qurnayn. Qarn meaning ruling of two generations. Could it be that there may be a second coming of dhul qurnayn where power switches and he will rule again and Allah subhanllah watallah is telling us anything is possible could it be that dhul qurnaayn may be sleeping and waiting to awake by Allah's command. In this world we live in wallah nothing is unbelievable anymore. To time travel to loop holes to worm holes. Speed of light. The quran even mentions they were a sleep for 300+ years how is that possible onky Allah knows and they still woke and went into the city. I want your opinion sheik on the second Qarn could power shift and the second coming of the ruling era of the great king. Could the king be sleeping and awaiting a command.

@A Aliali Your views mirrors Sheikh Imran in that he dismisses attributing any figures located in the historical books to Dhul Qarnain, including Alexander and Cyrus. In the Qur’ān we have three instances of people or individuals who experienced lapsed time: Prophets 'Uzair and 'Īsā (alayhimas salām) and the Young men in the Cavern. All of them would in fact impacted those who met them (and shall meet, when and as Allah Wills) at two time periods, even moreso with those of the latter period. I would recommend you to read (or re-read) a chapter in Sheikh Imran's book of Suratul Kahf and the Modern Age, entitled "The Qur'an and Time." May Allah assist you in your search. Āmīn.

Dhul Qarnain means two generations and that is 100 years. Here is he in the Surah Al Baqarah: أَوْ كَالَّذِي مَرَّ عَلَىٰ قَرْيَةٍ وَهِيَ خَاوِيَةٌ عَلَىٰ عُرُوشِهَا قَالَ أَنَّىٰ يُحْيِي هَٰذِهِ اللَّهُ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَا ۖ فَأَمَاتَهُ اللَّهُ مِائَةَ عَامٍ ثُمَّ بَعَثَهُ ۖ قَالَ كَمْ لَبِثْتَ ۖ قَالَ لَبِثْتُ يَوْمًا أَوْ بَعْضَ يَوْمٍ ۖ قَالَ بَل لَّبِثْتَ مِائَةَ عَامٍ فَانظُرْ إِلَىٰ طَعَامِكَ وَشَرَابِكَ لَمْ يَتَسَنَّهْ ۖ وَانظُرْ إِلَىٰ حِمَارِكَ وَلِنَجْعَلَكَ آيَةً لِّلنَّاسِ ۖ وَانظُرْ إِلَى الْعِظَامِ كَيْفَ نُنشِزُهَا ثُمَّ نَكْسُوهَا لَحْمًا ۚ فَلَمَّا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُ قَالَ أَعْلَمُ أَنَّ اللَّهَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ (259) is that wonderful? due to this مِائَةَ عَامٍ Almighty God called him Dhul Qarnain. There is no doubt that the Quran can be explained from the Quran itself.

Every soul will taste death without exception. The Lord God had sent Prophet, Messenger & Messiah Isa Ibn Mariam [Jesus] Alayhi Wa Sallam in this lowly earth as a human [flesh & blood in all respect] and assigned him with a noble mission to spiritually reform the Israelites. Unfortunately, majority of Israelites especially those who had the control of Masjid Al Aska [Temple of Solomon] not only outright refused to accept him as Prophet, Messenger & Messiah they also brought allegation of fornication against his pious & upright mother Virgin Mariam Alayhi Wa Sallam. Isa Ibn Mariam [Jesus] Alayhi Wa Sallam ably aided by Ruh Ul Qudus [Angel Jibreel] left no stone unturned to preach & reform but failed to win the hearts & mind of his own religious community [Israelites]. On the contrary, the Israelites secretly planned & plotted to get rid of him and convicted guilty on account of blasphemy. The wickedness of the Israelites led to sinfulness to eventually crucify him on the cross. In order to save the honour & dignity of Isa Ibn Mariam [Jesus] Alayhi Wa Sallam, the Lord God Allah destroyed the evil plot of Israelites and caused him to ascend alive into parallel universe of time & space [not heaven] physically. When the decree of Lord God come to pass, Isa Ibn Mariam [Jesus] Alayhi Wa Sallam will descend from parallel universe and complete his earthly mission, as assigned and will die as normal human being. He will be buried in Madina next to our holy Prophet Sallalahu Alayhi Wa Sallam and the Muslims will perform funeral prayer over his body. The sect of Israelites who are known & referred as ‘Orthodox Christians’ will rule from Jerusalem and will be in a position of dominance over the other sect of Israelites who are known & referred as “Jews” until the last hour.
