My father was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes at the age of 45. He changed his life style specially diet. He used to walk 2 km in the morning. He started medicins . But after 4-5 years, his sugar level had come to normal range and after that he did never restrict his diet. He started eating sweets, sugar but never face sugar level problem. Whenever his sugar level was tested, it was normal.

You are the first one on the u tube, that I saw, who insisted on glucose tolerance test. Most speak only of HbA1c, which gives no indication of once capacity to handle carbs. It is the capacity to handle carbs that tells you that one is non diabetic. One can be diabetic with a low HbA1c, if one goes for low carb, high fat diet. Just a non diabetic HbA1c number is insufficient.

Blood sugar and HbA1C tests are absolutely useless. It's the insulin levels which are important. Most of the people having normal blood glucose levels, normally fails in the Kraft test which measures the Insulin levels while drinking the sugar water. Majority of people are insulin resistant and hence prediabetic. So to actually cure a person we need to address the problem of insulin resistance, fixing blood glucose and HbA1C is just one part of the problem. Best way to fix all this is - Fasting with ultra low carb diet with enough electrolytes, healthy fats, and good amount of dietary protein, salad before meal.
