Thank you for your valuable information, i am 58 yrs old lady had fasting glucose 190 but now i am doing exercise (strength training) and now it's decreased on 104, this is my fifth month, 12000 step count daily, so it really works on diabetes (weight lifting)

Muscle development is only possible when its combined with quality sleep and protein based nutrition in a clean way. Otherwise anaerobic activity will be a total wastage of time. HIIT is not suitable for everyone as it requires sufficient time to recover, and secrets lot of cortisol, the stress hormone. You should have made these points elaborately explained.

Thanks Dr Tomar. A friend of mine with high A1C also pointed me to a doctor from Kerala whom he follows. That doctor leads arm muscle dumb-bell type exercises in his session for diabetic patients!

Aerobic exercises are best for losing fat. Those are calories burning exercises. Aerobic exercises are for building endurance and stamina. To increase lung and heat capacity. Anaerobic exercises are for muscle gain or increase strength. These exercises in increases your muscle mass and your overall strength. But in india most diabetic patients are old age or suffering from obesity and arthritis. So they are unable to do running or jogging for a lond period. They can only do weight lifting exercises or stretching or yoga.

Maine yis exercise se diabetic reverse kiya hai, mai 2 saal se yeh exercise karta hoo. Diabetic hone ka actual reason hi koi bhi physical activity na karna hai. Agar physical activity hi nahi hogi to body me weight gain hoga aur 100% insulin resistance developed hoga jisase type-2 diabetic hogi. Aur yis diabetic se nijaat pana hai to insulin resistance ko thik karne ke liye exercise ki jarurat hai.

Could you please tell me what safety measures one must take to avoid muscle stretching and pain developed, that lasts for few days , because of doing HIIT. Weightlifting needs much pratice and chances of muscle stretching is more. How one can manage all these while reversing diabetes and doing these exercise.

All these strengthening exercises needs to be increased slowly, first start with 10 mins exercise and less weight and gradually increase as per your body capacity. In case of muscle pull, take appropriate rest and check whether the posture is correct or not.

Anaerobic exercises should be added to aerobic exercises, However, a diabetic patient should not avoid Aerobic exercise as it improves heart health, increases your metabolism, aids weight loss, lowers your blood pressure, increases your HDL (“good”) cholesterol and boosts your mood.

Yes but not for a long period of time. 10/15 min of warm up is fine. More than that can lead to an increase in the stress hormone which is again a reason for type 2 diabetes.
