Very impressive. Looks a bit like my last SP zealot I spent about 6 months on. I had much of the same items, going for crushing blow, but didn’t have the killing power you do. Level 94 is insane for a zealot. I stopped at 90. Getting there from 89 was brutally slow.

How much more damage output does the amplify really add? Kill monsters 50% faster, 100% faster? 200% faster you'd say? I used to make zealot pallys all the time long ago when I played more about 1.09, they always seemed to suck mid nightmare and I'd get stuck. Want to play again.

Yes, its off lacerator on switch. Amp damage reduces monster's physical resistance by 100%. It breaks 99% of physical immunities in hell, and it easily kills monsters twice as fast.

I've played this game a bit over the years since a kid.. I never used the skill hotkeys originally, and tried to find them last time I reinstalled, and this time just recently but I havn't found how to be able to switch and/or use skills with the hotkeys like the F keys.. Well apart from being able to play with others the only difference is there are some 'ladder only' runewords that can only be made on ladder unless you use a program to enable them in single player. The monsters also get harder the more players are in the game when you play online.

in the end there is not much different. in battle net, cheating is harder. the char is backed up online, and not a file on your computer that is easily edited with a 500kb something editor. the online version has random maps everytime, while the offline single player version has any map fixed upon char creation. so if you have found the way to baal for example, it will always be the same in single player, not on battlenet. playing online - especially hardcore - is risky because you can disconnect. in higher levels one kill can cost many hours of experience grinding which sucks. on the other hand of course you can play with other people online, which is fun. and of couse playing hardcore on single player is not that much of a risk, as long as you back up your folder every few hours. basically your whole game is stored in a small file that is easily backed up, edited or transfered. other than that, there is a ladder option online. the ladder is a rank system that is refreshed every 6 months. you can take part in this "leaderboard hunting" and get more possibilites for drops and runewords (not sure about drops, but definetly there are runewords that are only availible to ladder characters). once the ladder season is over, your char is transfered von ladder to non-ladder mode. you can no longer create these special runewords, but you can keep whatever you found .

Funny you should say because I just found a HoZ. I think it's better in terms of damage because of the +skills but you will have to get more res elsewhere. I am using CoH right now with the HoZ and + res charms (can't get anni or torch in single player) and I am still not on max res. The only way would be to get more +res charms or find a SoJ and socket an item..... I was using Sanctuary with the CoH before that and my res where ultra over stacked, not even the strongest conviction aura monster in the game could break me.... so that was pretty cool....

Thanks for that reminder :) Okay, I have another question - i hope you can answer(I have read another QnA between you and some guy, but i forgot the essentials and now i can't find the thread). Could you please give me just a brief guide on how to level up to the point where i am just using the same skills as you? I also like zeal :) I have used my re-spec from The Den of Evil and im in normal mode level 25. I have put into Zeal and Might, and my logic tells me: When it becomes to difficult with that setup, then re-spec(because at that point i will be in nightmare mode). My guts tell me i should wait with fanaticism tell after the re-spec. Oh i hope you could be so kind to just give me a little guidance.... :)

I never put more than one point into Might. Points into Zeal + Sacrifice + Holy Shield till you reach level 30 for Fanaticism. You can use level 1 Might, Blessed Aim, or Concentration till then. At level 30 respec and put more points into Fanaticism. Fanaticism should get maxed first. Zeal should not be neglected because of the AR but once at level 15, Sacrifice can actually get maxed before Zeal for the + damage. Holy Shield should not be neglected either because it is an active skill and you need it to not get hit. I like to dump remaining points into Defiance for the + defense. At level 30 you should have about 35-36 skill points minus 7 points into prerequisites. With respec, my skill tree would look like: Fanaticism - 10 Zeal - 8 Holy Shield - 6 Sacrifice - 4 Defiance - 1 Then I'd observe my character and pay attention to what he needs. If you're getting hit too much, a point into HS. If you aren't hitting enough then a point into Zeal. If you aren't hitting enough and not doing enough damage, then a point into Fanat. If you need a damage boost, then a point into Sacrifice.

Could you give a tip around Charsi imbue and Larzuk socketing - I still wanna play your style FYI. Earlier when i played D2, i was annoyed that i couldn't really complete Hell mode with single player. But I see you can do it just fine. All of the runeword stuff is also a jungle....I dont know what to do with it at this point. Seems many of them are for later - from level 60 or so. I am level 40 now btw. Charsi is not too useful of a quest. Imbune what you need and move on. Not using the imbune, IMO, for some reason, stagnates the game and drops become very stingy. IDK if thats a fact or not, but thats my experience. The socket quest is much more valuable. If you can hold onto at least one socket reward and save it for Guilliomes face if/when you get it, that would be the best item to socket for a Zealer IMO. Guilliomes face is attainable and does drop on higher levels with some frequency. I've gotten multiple Guilliome's. If you ever get HoZ that would be the second best item to socket for a Zealer IMO. HoZ is a much rarer item to pick up and I have only gotten one drop the entire time I have played. The hard part is holding on to the socket quest. As with Charsi, I felt the game got stingy with the drops when I did not use the socket rewards. I got impatient and just socketed something and moved on with success. I would really like a socket in my Guilly and HoZ, but that will never happen now.

No, Ko drops are pretty common. Mal is much harder to get, usually requires a cube, but they do drop occasionally too. Although I have cubed up to Ko when I was in a hurry.

Dude you can run ancients as much as you want. They are always there. You won't get the experience points that you get the first time you beat them, but you can kill them forever. If this is Hell difficulty, that's close to impossible to pass, there is an external program you can download it's called Atma5 or some other number. It allows you to get every rune In the game, but you still need to know what you are doing if you wana make it work. But even with all the runes available, you will still have extremely hard time passing the final act.

Check out arreat summit. Only certain runewords are allowed in SP offline, unless you get pluggy, then you can make every rune word in the game offline.

I never used Spirit Runeword, only Sanctuary (Ko Ko Mal) and Exile (Vex, Ohm, Ist, Dol). Be careful with Runewords though. Certain Rune Words will only work on the Battle.net Realms for Ladder Characters only. Meaning they will not work offline single player, or online non-ladder characters. Consult with Arreat Summit for guidance.
