Diablo 2 Resurrected | Safe Uber Smiter Build | My First Torch in D2R!

My first Uber run in D2R was a success! I was ecstatic to finally complete my goal I've had since D2 LOD. The torch came out pretty nice as well so stay tuned until the end to see how it rolled! I took my safe and tanky uber smiter into the trenches and pretty much wrecked the Ubers with ease :D

Nice job congrats. A helpful tip is pull meph from the top instead of bottom to isolate him then once he’s down u can either tele to bottom middle right under the middle house or run around to the bottom and Baal will tele to u and he will be isolated from Diablo then once he’s down just run to mid and finish Diablo off. It helps a lot especially if they bunch up and summon a lot of monsters to get in ur way. Overall that was a great run I used a smiter for awhile just switched to kicksin

Hey thanks for the tips! I’ll apply those next time around. Haha I honestly didn’t expect it to go so smoothly the first time around but it all worked out. The second attempt was a nightmare though and I died constantly due to not realizing my charges on the tele staff running out. I ultimately just left and rejoined the game to recover my body :D

You could go Rhyme Shield, Kira's, Duress, Black, GToe, Drac's for a cheaper build, when facing meph just drop the fana and switch to lightning res

I appreciate you watching! Honestly you can pretty much use any shield you can get your hands on as long as you have some form of life tap, I’d say a Phoenix is a solid choice but would recommend a Hoz or eth Exile :D

Thanks for subbing! You can use pretty much any shield runeword that has res on it like a Spirit in a paladin base shield or a unique shield like Harald of Zakarum

A great budget build for a Smiter includes Sancuary Runeword in a 45 all res 3 socket base. Adds a ton of resistances and makes charm selection and other gear easier. Loose some skills but survivability is easier. Getting enough CB and your life tap is easy enough. Not getting instantly one spotted by meph because you don't have enough lightning resist is not as easy.

Great suggestion! I think that in addition to the fade proc from Treachery would be plenty of resistances for Ubers and the damage should still be good enough with all the cb we get from everything else

Heck yeah dude! For ladder reset though I’m leaning towards starting as a summon necro or trap assassin then building a super budget smiter after the first couple weeks

If you got exile shield then you don’t need dracs glove. Use laying of hands glove for extra 350% damage to demons.

Lods have no effect on smite like fortitude don't ED do not add to smite dmg.

Nice man. So 1 set of Keys gives you 1 torch or 3 set of Keys gives you 1 torch ? I dont understand. And you take the items they drop into the cube and spawn portal to uber tristram? :-)

3 keys, one of each in the cube make one random portal. If you leave the game and make a new game and new portal you might make the same one again. That's why they recommend you make all 3 portals with 3 sets of keys in one game. You get an organ from each portal the first go around. 3 organs in the cube make 1 Uber trist where you fight 3 bosses and killing the last boss drops the random torch.

Not very budget with exile and BK... They are not really necessary... I could do it using a smoke armor and spirit shield with 40+ AR... To max all resists...

Yeah that’s true it’s not super budget and it can be done with way less gear, but its a super safe build with two sources to proc life tap :D

Try Chains of Honor, Grief PB, Kiras, and Carrion. Also you do a lot more swapping than should be necessary. These runs shouldn't take more than 10 minutes to charge through all together.
