It just makes me wonder... Your character in Diablo 2 defeats ALL 3 Prime Evils including 2 Lesser Evils: Andariel and Duriel. The Nephalem in Diablo 3 defeats Diablo holding the powers of both Mephiso AND Baal as well as the Lesser Evils you fight: Belial and Azmodan, Belial, Zoltun Kulle, as well as Andariel and Duriel again, turning him into his absolute strongest form he's ever had making him into THEE Prime Evil. Not only does the Nephalem defeat Diablo at his absolute best, but he also defeats the Angel of Death that was also holding the powers of ALL Prime Evils as well as the Lesser Evils. The Nephalem was literally the most powerful being in both Heaven AND Hell.. But yet in Diablo 4 your character barely handles Andariel and Durel and fights a weakened Lillith? 🤨

Should the enemy be a combination of all angels and all demons? What happens for the expansion that's likely to follow? Meta answer: can't have our allies solving the issues, gotta be us. Story answer: The 7 evils (Diablo, Mephisto, Baal, Andarial, Durial, Belial, Azmodan) are stronger than the Angels, but suffer from infighting. Prior to D3, the closest they got was to the gate of heaven but started fighting each other to see who got what before they actually won the war. When Diablo unites them into one form in D3, the only reason they didn't win is because the player stopping Diablo in the last possible moment

@damsen978i would agree compared to diablo:3 but idk diablo 4 has some fantastic storytelling, the creepy factor is higher in diablo2. But if you look at the first diablo4 cinematic that ones also super creepy. I think the issue is we only get 2 cinematic. Where d2 has 4. So they have more room to play with, and Diablo 2 cinematic are more like a series of events then a story your participating in. Until the end. That being said diablo 2 is great in it own way theirs a reason its got such diehard fans.

@damsen978 i have to say i don’t think you have played diablo 3, their are manny regions in diablo 3 where people are hung on torture devices, if you hit the torture device they are torn in half, with bloody corpses laying over the ground. Where body’s torn in half are hung from trees. And blood coveres the ground. Honestly i think diablo, 3 was gorier then diablo 2,yea i think diablo 4 needs more. But the kills can be pretty gory, especially things like corpse explosion and and assassinations from the barb and druid.and their is still gore and nasty areas in the game like the blood and bile with spider like tendrils, tortured people.

In this iteration it's only one angel, because the angel faction kinda wants to see humanity destroyed, they don't want it to exist so they will not really intervene in what goes on. It was suggested to bind a human and then stick the stone in them, enhancing the stone's binding but leaving whoever was bound to wrestle with Baal. Tal Rasha volunteered, and what you see in this cutscene is what happens when a horadrim mage has to wrestle with baal for centuries. Baal broke Tal Rasha's mind, but couldn't undo the bindings so long as the stone was stuck in him.
