Hey Anthony, another passive that you can use which would give quite the damage boost but also works really well for mana sustain is gruesome feast, it can be used over pierce the veil!

Goto options and select " Elective mode" this unlocks any skill to any bar slot

I found you can get equal or better resales out of this kind of build by replacing the dogs with bears, changing up the Passives to Gruesome feast, Circle of Life and keeping Grave Injustice. The biggest change and what makes it work the best is a switch out from a high power 2h like skorn so using something more along the lines of Manajuma's carving knife with Thing of The Deep (witch synergises with gruesome feats to give a constant +50% to int) Bears are used for spot killing stranglers.

Thanks phil, its a great build just make sure you dont have too much ias, im running 1.23, also you can drop pierce the veil for jungle fortitude if struggling for mana and survivalabilty :)

My first character was a witch doctor but I had such a struggle with it back when inferno actually was difficult, I came back a week ago and I see that the gear I paid "millions" for is vendor items now, so I will try it out again, witch doctors sure has some great abilities. Retired d3'er here, just after the ban wave during 1.08. Got to 350k unbuffed (with 3% life steal/full zuni/14 pickup/ 1.76 aps). Was the highest dps ll/zuni wd in the world until i got smashed by blizz lol. But yea i well tested the fire bats build in ptr and broke some insane records with it. Managed a 6 second mp10 ghom kill with it as well. 4 second mp10 elite kills fully buffed (had a 2.2 second kill recorded as well in party). Was mad fun and i highly recommend it to people to try it.

if you use 1h and mojo you can get a decent thing of the deep and use circle of life passive and gruesome feast. then you can free up summon zombie dogs and use pride rune on sacrifice. that way you don't have to worry about mana regen because when you run out you can just sacrifice dogs to get mana back.

Oh, must have missed it. I have something like 19 pickup and I love it. Trying to include 5 - 10 pickup in every character besides my WD now. Not having any pickup is really annoying, but for the WD of course its just great for gruesome feast and more so for grave injustice of course.

Good vid as always. I am using this excact build but with BBV instead of LS because i am running with 2 cm wizards all the time and the buff is perfect for them. Btw CoB is ending on 600% damage and not 1000% like you said. It says that it wil increase it with 20 and the max is 100 so that will be 600%. Keep the vids coming please ;)

Nice build! I am using this setup now. Only challenging part is dealing with rare packs...they tend to spread out and hit me with ranged attacks @_@ other than that it destroys mobs in seconds with 1.5 - 2.5M crits

I would suggest aoe slow with chance to summon dogs instead of summon skill directly. It makes pulling fast ans slow mobs together easier. Pretty useful vs arcane, frost elites too.

I love my WD and this build I can get up to like 280k unbuffed dps with certain items, I am at 263k I believe unbuffed with my tanky gear. Nice video man.

Just started playing with WD a few days ago after months of ignoring it, and i have to say, it's like i bought a whole new game! It's by far the most fun character to play, even on the low levels you always find fun and also efficient ways to combine your skills. i want to share my build, i removed dogs messing with mob, i replace sacrifice with VVD-Rain dance(for elites), Horrify - Frightening Aspect(before killing the mobs),Soul Harvest - Swallow Your Soul,Spirit Walk - Honored Guest, passive:Grave Injustice,Pierce the Veil,Blood Ritual, 1hand weapon but still no problem with mana,

you dont need much ias Brian 3 items will be enough , use 2h skorn with huge life steal, and see well over 2mil crits, as for frozen use spirit walk !

One question: How do you handle dmg reflect packs? btw: Have you tried another passive for pierce the veil - Gruesome Feast? pushes dmg extremely, above all when you find a lot of enemies and further more you can refresh your mana...

Yeah ranged mobs can be a bit of a pain , I just sw on top and start dpsing works well

if ure only going to do mp2 and stuff, u could get a quick ww barb setup for like 6m gold.. considering the amount of crits firebats can do, i believe they are better at doing uber bosses, atleast thats what im building my WD for, as i find it a bit hard to do mp4+ ubers

Anthony, I come again with questions. I hope you don't mind. Your Zombie bears was incredible to get me built up, but this build is awesome. My question is about attack speed, is it REALLY necessary? The bats spawn and away you go, is it important to have any? Next, I have tried this with the Manajuma's set with a 2.8 life steal and with the extra mana, it still hits in the 400k to 600k with 1 million at the max. Mana is no problem. What kills the elites? If frozen, doom!

LOve this spec dude! I managed to get my Mana reg to be perfect with how much Bats drains. the drain is 66/sec, i got 66.1 Reg per sec :P

What you think about SA ( Spirit Attunement ) vs BR ( Blood Ritual ) My stats : 40k HP Gear : CC over 50 % Waeapon : 1h ( LS + Socket ) + String of Skull I use Tal Rasha chest armor and amulet to get 3 % more fire dmg from Tal Rasha Set.

I switched out locust swarm with firebomb (ghost bomb) and it seems to work pretty well for me until I get that the 4th zuni piece.

You forgot to get increased pickup range. I need to change my WD gear a little bit myself. Could use more armor. Some more DPS, but, honestly.. ~150K sheet DPS b4 SH & BBV & GF buffs is still quite a lot as a WD anyway.

i would suggest leoric > woods, due higher monster density in woods and then you already have 1-3 stacks killing monsters there

i got a dropped skorn, lvl 60 gave it to a barb friend of mine who's build benefits most for his taste with dual wield... how much of top weapon is this weapon, the role was similar do yours, it might have had more strength, i know it had damage... might have had a little dex... but i'm making a witch doc has my dh is a few Plevels away from end game. (400k dps 170v. 3.0 AS 63 cc, 400 cd, 67.8 dodge (key) and 25+ movement speed)... i want better on my DH tho lol it never ends... thanks for vid!

I'm trying to make this build work but I think I might possibly have just too much IAS, I can not sustain my mana for very long at all but I hit like a truck and am almost unkillable. As long as I have mana up. I'm using the Manujama's ''or whatever it is called'' main hand and a legendary mojo in the off hand. "kinda new to WD so I forget the names of my main and off hand'' All the rest of my gear is basically what you have in the video except mine is even a little better here and there.

Yo mate i loved the guide. Although I would suggest pumping more damage and losing some lifesteal. Will the the same effect just will clear everything faster. Blood Ritual is good but Jungle fortitude is a more stable way to keep up the tankyness. And if you get tanky enough you can go for feast passive and you will have above 400k dps easy mode :)

I'm new to this I've chosen the witch doctor to , what I don't get is when you want good gear do you keep raiding bosses , it's only cause I went back to kill the skeleton king and he's not there anymore do I have to start again on harder difficulty just to fight him again , basically how do you raid the bosses in this game

Oh and i forgot to mention. the people that still have problems with mana can use spiritual attunement and lose the locust swarm and use spider queen, so it will stay active all the time and keep that mana coming, and will also have a stable damage source while channeling. Effective at bossfights. Have a nice day

I tried this build and i didnt like it for one reason. its pretty good for farming normal creeps like crazy,but...when you have to deal with elits that have some kind of knockback or vortex or something that interrupts your fire bats casting you are dead! Also you cant move while you cast so if the place is filled with poison and fire pools you also have a problem there...

Noticed that your scoundrel is missing a talent, most likely the buttom one for 10 % increased dmg after crit, just in case you haven't noticed! Also, can someone tell me, I've tried the CM build for wizards and I don't like it, but I just think wizard has more survivability, what in this build makes you not take dmg, do you need a shtload of resist to make it?
