Same here, the Amazon in D2 and Rogue in Diablo were some of my favorites. I like the versatility that they bring, and that style is just so unique to physical attackers because those tend to be straight-forward-melee based. And then when you throw hoards of minions being pelted by your projectiles from afar on top of that, it's a sight to see - truly awesome.

No there are 5 classes initially. 4 have been announced, 1 needs to be announced. Only 1 of the initial classes will be from Diablo 2.

mike morhaime has confirmed at blizzcon that there will be two releases from blizzard next year, starcraft 2 and wow expansion meaning d3 will be 2011 or later

@zaldos That is singel player because the game isnt out yet they are still running test. by the end of 2010 it might be out. Multiplayer is exact same but with other players around, nothing too different.

The ability to use a polearm is making the Monk more and more appealing to me (I think that's what he's using, if not it's some type of quarterstaff--equally badass). I like having the option of using some magical abilities, while still being able to kick ass in a brutal fashion.

@markototev ya id say that is a fair estimate. I looked at Blizzard's job postings and didn't see any for D3--which is a good sign. I'm guessing late summer possibly fall of 2011.

@christofrico I think you should keep in mind that the game is FAR FROM DONE. If you pay attention to the begining of the video the background is not even there its just blank. Can't judge the feel of it by looking at 30 secs videos.... you would've to sit at the PC and see the complete package. Intros, lore, plot to get an idea of how dark the game is.

There's only 5 classes with one yet to be unveil, and they've already stated there won't be any class - aside from the Barbarian - that was in D3's predecessor. Amazon and Druid are out - at least until an expansion. So there's the Barbarian, Wizard, Witch Doctor, and Monk. Although, you were on the right track since the new class is likely going to be a marksman of sorts. It may even be a fusion of a shifter and marksman class - some type of spiritual being with adeptness in projectiles.

The thing I liked about D2 dueling before runewords--personally, I think they killed it in regard to competition--was that your class had its ample powers and still had weaknesses that could be exploited by a certain class; so there's that check and balance with classes as a whole. Anyhow, I'm really looking forward to what alternative they decide on for PvP since the "hostile" button was taken out. It would be awesome to have areas dedicated to dueling, or even team versus team competitions.

Agreed i complaining about this too. Some camera shakes can makes the "moves" like more powerfull but shakes on all effect can be very very disturbing in a long game.

blizzard has yet to release starcraft 2 which is a 3part series and another add-on to Wow is likely coming out so i figure late 2011 or 2012.

@thehill2240 there is going to be 2 more classes without a doubt in the expansion! I want to have somekina shapeshifting class... not a were shapeshifter mind you. Vampire maybe ;) (not sure how "diablo-like" that would be.) Im not obsessed with vampires too, I just think it would be cool. Other class could be some holy knight type of dood.. all the classes so far seem more or less dark and I think that would give some nice contrast! (cant wait for it to be released)

Only 1 character class will be returning from Diablo 2 in the initial release, which would be the Barbarian. So the fifth class would be another new class. Of course, the return of other classes cannot be denied in the expansion packs.

@MrDraconir yea, this game kinda has a titan's quest feel to it. Doesn't seem like the other Diablo's. That said, TQ was a great game but i am really hoping there's dark levels/dungeons in the game & the music BETTER sound like D1 & 2 did.

its so obvious the last character will be something that primarily wields bow and arrow, or daggers and stuff, something with dexterty. there wasn't really a character made for that in diablo 3 yet.

how does combat work in Diablo if i play on my lapto do i just click an enemy and it will attack ? i hate the games like command and conquer, is the combat like that game ? or is it like you control one single guy and get to hack and slash by clicking on an enemy ? and is it an RPG or mission by mission ? and is it complicated for a new player ?

If it is not release by then, I'll simply give up and would just look for an alternative RPG game that is just as good or even better. The more they delay, their competitor's games will get better.

They took the look of a Japanese Buddhist monk with a flair of Shaolin, and gave him Fist of the North Star abilities. I'd say that's pretty groovy. I would have appreciated a more sneaky character such as ninja or theif/cutthroat, but I guess we'll just have to wait and see what the 5th character will be.

is it just me, or does this loook very difficult to follow? alot of explosions and blood bursts and stuff, it will probably be cleared out when they add the HUD or whatever you call it in RPGs, but i cant really tell the monsters from the party members in some areas.

Hmm I still think to this day, that the best looking and overall feel of skeletons in any diablo game, is still the ones from the original Diablo. They looked awesome, and they were kinnda creepy when they walked towards you,and when you killed them they fell apart in a beautiful way. Blizz should look more at the original game and take inspiration from it.
