I've played this build across several seasons now because I find it, as you say, the most enjoyable pushing build of the currently viable ones (so tired of generator). I currently have completed GR82 on season, which put me at #38 on the US Leaderboard at the time of completion (name: Zish). That being said, I'd like to offer my thoughts on your video. I feel like the build is slightly more complicated to execute than you've made it seem, in large part due to how you neglected to stress the importance of Assimilation stacks. To be clear, this build is for ONE thing only: Solo high GR pushing. It is NOT efficient at ALL for anything else - not groups, not bounties, not T13 or T10 rifts...nothing. When you are pushing higher GRs, like anything above ~70-75, the monsters HP starts to get REALLY high, to the point where NOTHING will be killed by you or your mystic allies just casually while running around; the ONLY thing that kills monsters to detonate your EPs is when you ACTIVATE Mystic Ally. Not only that, but if you expect that MA activation to actually kill anything, you have to have several things executed in proper order and timing: 1) Allow your Endless Walk stacks to tick down as low as safely possible (more damage) 2) Apply EPs to weaker, easily killed mobs like spiders, skeletons, etc, during LIGHTNING phase of the COE rotation. 3) Get your Assimilation stacks. This is most easily done by dashing directly into the center of your density, avoiding obvious hazards like Molten, Orbiters, etc, then using Cyclone Strike one time to get your pack as dense as possible, and then using WotHF. There are two important reasons you Cyclone strike once or twice before you WotHF: One is so you immediately get the 50% DR buff from your shoulders, so you don't die. The other is so you can get Pain Enhancer stacks from crits, so your APS shoots up. Cannot stress how important Assimilation stacks are - you should aim for a minimum of 15 stacks or so each time you activate MA. This step should occur entirely in the PHYSICAL rotation of COE, and you MUST have Epiphany up for this or you will certainly die. 4) Cyclone strike spam once or twice to make sure those mobs you tagged EP with are hit by it, so they take the increased damage from MA from Bindings of the Lesser Gods. 5) Ideally your physical rotation of COE should be ~1 second remaining, with Cold just about to come up. This is when you activate MA, so that when those weak, EP-tagged mobs take damage and die, your Cold COE is up. This entire process starts with herding. During Fire and Holy rotations of COE you should be herding density together as best as you can and just trying to stay alive, especially if your Epiphany is down. Mostly all of these steps are critical to executing the build properly, and if any 1 of them is fucked up, you will experience the frustration of utter and complete failure. No Assimilation stacks? Shit wont die. Weaker, proper mobs not EP-tagged? You get no explosion. Those mobs not hit by cyclone strike prior to popping MA? They won't die, and your EPs wont go off. Wrong timing in COE rotation? EP's won't do shit for damage unless Cold COE is up. Drop Epiphany, especially while Endless Walk stacks are low? You're dead instantly. While I appreciate you making the guide because I love this build and wish more Monks would play it and experiment with squeezing out maximum efficiency with it, I feel like this build is more niche and especially more precise to execute than you explained. Just my thoughts, didn't mean to offend, troll, or bad-mouth you. I love D3, and I want more people playing it!

Just wanted to make a quick adjustment to one of your first comments about what this build is and isn't good for. While yes it is great for solo pushing on the GR leaderboards, you tend to forget how powerful the build is for other things. I can take my monk on TX and left-click walk around and my mystic allies will just shred anything it walks up to. On TXIII, I can throw in a cyclone strike here and there and still decimate groups without trying. So while this build for the monk might not be the BEST for other things, it can still do them considerably well especially if you switch out the Fist of Az with Ingeom, and infinitely dash around and hunt down elite packs for speed farming.

Played EP monk last season, got into GR88, can confirm everything you said. When I tried to push for GR90 I just couldn't kill RG in time (4+ minutes to kill him) and because I don't like fishing, that's where I gave up (par 1k, augments lvl88 13x).

Im pretty sad I suck with that build, because its so cool. Im dying incredible fast and dealing like 0 damage without explosions, guardians are also not enjoyable to kill, takes hours.

Great video. I have a question for anyone who wishes to answer it. I have the Furnace cubed. I noticed that you cubed your Fist of Az'Turrasq. I am using mine along with a Kyoshiro's blade. Is cubing the furnace still viable over cubing something else? I also have the Incense Torch (which I rather use but the Kyoshiro's Blade seems a bit better (on paper stats) as it is acient and the Incense Torch is not. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

I see and know this is better than the Uliana's with 7 sided strike build, but i cant bring myself to play it. Its just not as fun as watching a whole screen explode

Seems like either it's nerfed or I don't get something....0 dmg without random trash mobs and elites take ages to kill....

Could you make a guide on the Cube? there are a lot of recipes there, and since i'm fairly new to the game, I only know and use 2 of them. what do the other ones do, and how can i use it effectively?

Might be a dumb question, but is Uliana still viable? I love exp palm and had more fun with that build (actually struggling to detonate with Inna).

Uliana is the coolest build in the game, although not viable if you wanna compete scoreboard wise. I did a 82 GR on hardcore off-season, but it is extremely squishy.

are you using any references for this build? I like it, it's what I'm currently running, just started back up into d3 a few days ago, almost a week into the season and my monk is getting to this point so far. I like the build, but I think I would change a few things, just from where I'm at right now. I'm nothing special though. gr18 so far, need to find better gear.
