Just started playing diablo for the first time and I had no idea what I was doing, but this vid and the gearing tutorials have really helped. You explained everything really well. The data you presented makes a really strong argument and I think we all appreciate what you are saying even more because of it. Thanks a bunch!!!

bit late for commenting but since i'm watching a lot of your videos i'll comment here. I've started Diablo two weeks ago and finally got my lvl 70 wizard with a fire mirror hydra build. Then I stopped doing damages by starting adventure mode...guess T2 was a bit ambitious to pick.

I saw in the discussion of a blue post that the leg drop values were based on a formula so the 15% for torment holds up nicely, since you can calculate the leg drop for a given torment level simply by (1.15)^t where t is the level of torment. This is also consistent with most posted values I've seen confirmed. This may or may not fudge some of your values a bit since I haven't gotten to look at your table just yet. The interesting thing this also leads to is that you can only afford to spend 15% more time in each subsequent torment difficulty before losing farming efficiency (for legs). ie A 30 minute task on normal-master must be done within 34.5 on t1, 39.7 on t2, etc.

From my own experience, I gauged what difficulty was optimal based on what I saw in-game. Torment 1 would often drop 1 rare (yellow) item per elite/rare mob packs as opposed to t3 which would consistently drop 3 rare items. I would still say that the legendary drop rates were about the same, maybe slightly better in t3 (as they should be) but the extra other random drops seal the deal for me because it means more salvageables and sellable items and also visibly demonstrates the better drop chances in effect to me. If i get a good group however, I will always play on t4 because mobs get rinsed the same, the only thing that takes noticeably longer is killing bosses which can take some time regardless of mode anyway. Currently do 1.8 million damage buffed and 4mill toughness buffed on my wizard, (unbuffed im around 1.3 mill damage and my profile is 980k which ofc deducts paragon and other various bonuses) Great enlightening video though, cheers.

Great video as usual - most of the people in my clan firmly believe that the higher the torment, the faster the legendary acquisition, regardless if it takes them a half hour or more to clean a rift.

I have DH when I play alone I don`t even feel difference between 1 to 5 and t6 it still easy runs. But when I get in to a group - couple of things happens first when I roll alone I kill almost everything with a group some one always rushing and living behind half of the monsters. Sometime I do half of the rift alone cause they just afk or doing some stuff or they can not hit harder than 10 mil. In ether case this way I taking me 2-3 times of effort meaning time etc. To complete (90%+ clean of monsters) rift than I do alone. Not mentioning that some one could close it right after rift guardian. So my question is should I farm alone ? DH need no help in damage and fast movement that obvious. I missing extra exp. and may be some loot. How much would be difference.? Thanks.

So if I understand correctly, first determine how long it takes a rift run in normal mode. Then go to say T1 and time it again. If the T1 run time is under what your chart would suggest it should take you, then you should stay on T1 or even consider going to T2. But if the run takes longer than your chart indicates, then you've lost efficiency and you should drop a level? Or should you go directly back to Normal?
@Rhykker10 жыл бұрын
Bingo! Go directly back to Normal, or test it on the next lower difficulty.

so if u manage to clear normal with %150 MF on. It's equal to T1? If u have more then %150 MF on you and clear normal at like half the time clearing with main geared(no MF) T1? Am I correct?

Me and a friend are playing through the game on normal difficulty, and we are going to finish the game, then go back and do hard. Is this what we should do after normal?
@Oratory198910 жыл бұрын
So in other words, unless items become stronger/change, T1 will be most efficient for leg farming and it's only when it comes to exp/gold you want to go to a higher torment level?

Hey one question! The MF stuff is very interesting, but for example, If I have a nagelring with 50% MF and the chance to put a 41% MF topaz on the helm, is it worth it or not? Because by now I don't have the nagel, one friend of mine does, but I wear the gem and yesterday I did like 5 o 6 runs in T1 rifts and didn't get any leg, while other guys of my team wearing 0 MF got almost a leg for each rift boss… What do you know about wearing MF? Thanks! And cool vids!!
@drnrqsldch10 жыл бұрын
Oh if you check the new update most of xploits are nerfed D: you should revise some of the videos now! hehe
@Oratory198910 жыл бұрын
MF basically does not work with legendaries. I think it's something like 100% MF only gives you a 10% increase in legendaries.
@ScumbagCurnow10 жыл бұрын
Oratory1989 and 10% is a significant amount. It's also multiplied on top of your torment bonuses. Since it's all percentages that same magic find is much more significant now since they buffed base leg find amount in rifts by 25%. Not sure why you would consider 10% not of statistical significance.
@ScumbagCurnow10 жыл бұрын
and OP, unfortunately even if you had enough magic find to have 90% drop chance from a boss it would still be possible to smash 5 in a row with no legs. The magic find bonuses are worth it though if you do not lose too much dps.

So say you can farm t6 rifts at 18 mins, but you do normals in less than 1 minute, normals more effecient? this math
@purpleblades606110 жыл бұрын
You're misinterpreting the data. It's more meant towards once you're 70 which Torment level you should farm. If you can beat a T1 rift in 3 minutes, and a T6 in 20 (just for example), you would actually get more legendaries per hour through T1 rifts. Once you get to where T6 takes you 4-6 minutes, it becomes the most efficient.
@jonathanjawfall70429 жыл бұрын
Try to find as many 3 slot Legendarys as possible. Put T19 gems in them. (Varies on class) Make sure you have high resist all and/or health. Run T6 solo. Get 6-10 Legendaries in an hour. Ta-da. Really, people, this game is very simple. I got my Witch Doctor 1-70 in a couple hours, and solo T6 no problem.

One single thing to say: If you want to farm on hard as efficient as on normal (in 10 minutes as you said) you have to complete the same content in 100+75%. That means you cant afford to make a 10 minute dungeon on normal to take 75 minutes in hard. That further means, that the exp reward has to be 750%!!!!! In order to be as efficient on normal like hell.. i mean hard, you have to complete it in 17,5 minutes. I await your answer. Regards, Arni

***** Hm yeah sounds like you are definitely far above average in terms of damage and toughness :)

The drops for T3+ are almost certainly 1.15^* where * = Torment level. That's marginally less pathetic than your projections, but still in no way an example of balanced risk/reward.
