I really think Imperius is going to be the Lucifer of this story. He has always been filled with wrath and pride and the whole “The gates of heaven are closed off” arc of Diablo 4 suggests that a lot is happening behind the scenes right now

Thats his sin, it happens when he kills diablo with the angelic counsil despite them wanting to keep him prisoner, which is better than just freeing him of his form and letting him reform with new knowledge and an angel of valor that fell into sin of pride.

​@@FirebonE_88fundamentally no one is good in Diablo. Everyone has a dark side. Imperius is an asshole yes... But he is still the one who defeated the primes over and over and over in the past which slowly took its toll on him. Tyrael is conveniently good in the story because he is helpful to the player,but he isn't perfect. Look at diablo 2, he did plenty wrong. Even the main characters are not entirely good, they got corrupted in every game except the 3rd. Malthael thought granting everyone death was a form of goodness. And Inarius only wanted to correct his mistakes and go back to heaven, which blinded him to anything else

tbh i liked that d4 had less anime-fights.. sure they're visually entertaining, i liked that we were more focused on the human side of this eternal war in d4.. i'm really curious what they'll do with mephisto and do hope that he'll turn out to be a more main villain type than lilith. i still believe lilith wanted to lead the humans back to nephalem stages and create her own army in a sense

They are two different angels. Imperius is the Archangel of valor. The one you saw fight Tyrael in this video. While Inarius is the angel who created mankind
