My gut tells me that someday in the near future of the Diablo storyline, we will see a new power rising in hell surpassing that of the great evils, and that is none other than Inarius himself, the real "El Diablo," the Satan who has the actual capability to harvest men's souls into his realm.

@@loatheburgerLilith being an anomaly in hell, a conflicted demon who has a good aspect within herself could also very well be the last hope for humanity in Sanctuary, as people well realize the fact that she is the only one who really does care. Heaven, including Tyrael, has no real interest in Sanctuary's welfare; otherwise, he wouldn't have chosen to make it a hiding place for very evil artifacts, knowing very well that humans are more susceptible to evil while trying to take it out of heaven, which, in all respects, is more capable of fighting corruption. In short, everyone in heaven, including Tyrael, is nothing but a selfish bastard.

It would make zero sense for Inarius to become a lord of hell or even a ruler of sorts. Nevermind in game lore none of the "prime" angels have ever turned into a lord of hell simply based off the lore of how the lords of hell were created along with the high heavens being seperate parts of Anu. Though in Diablo 4 mephisto does elude to how Inarius has always had a heart full of hatred that just seems to grow (also its stated that when Inarius first saw lilith it felt like he was just looking at himself in demon form)

@@jarbroham5541 Inarius powers have been amped up by the world stone, which literally makes him stronger than his former boss Tyrael or even those of the other Angris guys. His hatred and pride would fuel his evil. And as the father of men in sanctuary, there could be a possibility that he would figure out how to utilize men's souls to add to his power level. In Diablo, demons don't actually have the capability to enslave the souls of evil men, except for a very few that they come directly across. Hell and evil souls are definitely intertwined, and we have never seen that yet on the storyboard. and hell without that would make it just another kingdom to live in, what's the point? If you believe that Inarius is dead, You could be wrong there. Angels and Demons both will revive when they die, except for a single event when Uldyssian wished Lucion, the brother of Lilith, out of existence, obliterating him from reality, pressence, and essence alike, and him (Inarius), a fallen angel like Izual, will not rebirth to become an angel as they are not welcome in heaven anymore so they return as demons. Lilith's saying, "You belong in hell," is a foreshadowing of what's to come. Remember the prophesy of Rathma seeing a father throwing his children into the fire and how a mother comes to save them? or something to that effect. That could be referencing to Inarius the devil and Lilith the actual savior in the future.

@@jarbroham5541 I would also like to add that Anu and Tathamet are once one and the same being, so if an angel falls out of grace, he becomes evil and would definitely go to the other side of Anu, which is Tathamet, who is now the Zion of Hell. And let's not forget that Inarius, albeit not a member of the Angiris council, was also an "Arch-angel" and was the council's adviser aside from being Tyrael's Lt., making him not just an angel but a real deal angel.

In D2, Andariel isn't necessarily silent. Like almost every other evil, she has voice lines. Upon aggro/entry, she'll either say "die maggot" or "fear me."

I just came here to says this. At release I played D2’s Spanish version and I will neve4 forget her saying “témeme” (fear me) the first time I saw her. Just the same as other famous phrases as “buscas a Baal?”

Thank you and welcome! Mephisto did take over the former Zakarum leader’s form as a vessel - he seems to be attracted to influential and intelligent vessels. I dont know what’s in Akarat’s tomb though as I doubt his corpse is in any suitable form as a vessel - we may be surprised

Yes I agree that Andariel and Duriel need more of a spotlight. If not their own expansion then atleast a season based on one or both (Season of Anguish, Season of Pain, etc)

What I wouldn't give for fights with the Evils to reflect their domain of power. Duriel, as the Prince of Pain, could fuction like a dark knight or blood knight class, converting the damage he takes into buffs to the damage he deals and vampirically healing himself when he deals damage. Mephisto, as the Lord of Hatred, could continually raise undead minions, buff them with zealous hellfire, and inflict effects that cause 'friendly fire' to activate on the player (turning their allies against them). Andariel has a whole aspect of herself where she orders the closest thing the Burning H3lls have to police. Chains of guilt and regret for the past could weigh down the player, slowing them down as her poison takes effect. So many options! The fact that Andariel has a subordinate "Lord of Despair" implies thst each of the Evils have a few subordinates related to their domain, like Azmodan has in his 7 Sin Lieutenants. Blizzard should flesh them out and help show the full scope of their masters domain.

Andariel's not completely silent; she screams "Fear Me!" In D2. Also kinda funny how her OG D2 model is completely uncensored, just letting those giant tits bounce around freely while D4 censored her, which is honestly lame. Not because I'm looking to get off, but because Diablo is supposed to be no holds barred I mean the first time I saw The Butcher in D1 with all those mutilated bodies lining the room as a kid I was definitely shocked to my core. The novels are pretty damned graphic as well. Oh and last point is they retconned the plot a bit in that animated short so that the Great Exile was all part of Diablo's grand scheme to eventually become the Prime Evil.

I kind of wonder why this series or game is still being called diablo? Is it supposed to involve the devil at some point or just the current lords of hell they have revealed? Will the original lord of terror ever come back, or are we forever going to have lords of hell and corrupted angels to deal with? It seems as this series has continued, the whole lord of terror and the feeling of terror has seemed to just drain from the whole story. I'd like a redo or revisit on the original story, maybe an add or expansion, digitally remastered or something, the random dungeon layouts maybe put in boss rooms or something... You could put in some interesting physics ideas, maybe give options to try first person....

I definitely feel like the series can be explored outside of the primary games with spinoffs that have a varied gameplay style. The series has always displayed Diablo as the ultimate big bad, even if he doesn’t always appear first. Alot of it is taken from the Spanish language. For example Diablo is Devil in Spanish, Khanduras sounds like Honduras, and Tristram sounds like tristre which means sad

I love Diablo Lore, but i hope to see more innovation from blizzard in the Future. I cant stop thinking about the idea of having World of Warcraft 2 and becoming a aRPG style like diablo and Diablo 5 becoming a MMORPG like WoW and getting to chose between the Joining the Angels or the Demons
