I like most of the changes. S5 was definitely the best season but there wasn't much challenging content past high pits and T8 hoards. Especially in a group. My only gripe is the paragon limits but I guess it's not that big of a deal tbh

I played D4 season 1-3 and took a break. Seems like there is enough updates here to come back, personally. As long as they keep improving the end game. $40 to me is not super expensive, given what I spend money on these days.

I played every season so far and I would say, even without the expansion, coming back for season 6 from season 3 you will have enough content, and can decide on whether or not to get the expansion later if you aren't sold on the spiritborn/campaign just yet

I would really appreciate it if you could do a guide for how best to build back up a character who was previously top tier level 100 who has been knocked down to 50, with no paragon boards (so essentially no build), legacy gear with old mods and none of the new difficulties unlocked. As I want to get back into the game, but I now feel I have to start from scratch and it is very daunting.

I can’t wait to play as the new class at level 1 from the start as I never beat vanilla version as the starting classes just didn’t jell with me. I went with my normal sorcerer build but I didn’t like any other class besides that. But this new class looks like the dope monk from Diablo 3 and the Sorcerer mixed.

It actually sounds a bit of a jack-of-all-trades frankly. It has basically a mix of abilities/playstyles for all classes so you can kinda go your own way. I generally prefer versatile characters in most rpg's so I'm fairly amp'd for the new class.

Unfortunately blizzard must have changed things because I just salvaged my best 70% burning incinerate only for the aspect to improve by only a percentage, it does match the aspect. If it did it doesn’t anymore

its an AFF-IX not an A-fix *edit* you dont get to imprint a max roll just by salvaging a maxroll aspect my friend - it goes to 16/21 so you have to salvage many more to get the infinite godroll imprint

I like to feel powerful on games and have a sense of progression. I played around 35h of Diablo 4 last year but I fell off once I completed the skill tree for my class as it got repetitive after that (I didn’t really have the carrot on the stick anymore). Sure, it’s great to find new and cool loot to improve your build but what’s the point when difficulty is ALWAYS scaled to your level? Appreciate if someone could make an argument about it as I’d like to jump back to Diablo once again!

Diablo progression isn’t about your skill tree, it’s about finding unique items and affixes and aspects that change how skills work, add new mechanics, and making it all work together. Difficulty doesn’t adjust to your character, you can pick it.

I have been playing Diablo since inception in the 90s. I have purchased every single game, and every single expansion blizzard has made with Diablo absolutely in love with the lore. The story is extremely fascinating to me to support the franchise. I must say I was not a fan of Diablo 4 gameplay. Watching this video has given me optimism that the game is much better. Also looking forward to the next part of the story. will I stop playing D2R and allocate my hours to this new expansion? only time will tell. I hope so

The tributes should drop from Nightmare dungeons (I am pretty sure I got some that way) and from bosses, so they should be available in the spirit realm. The season is kinda lame, you kill this big hulking thing and go into a realm and kill lame enemies and get a chest. But ofc so many people are on the Seasonal that it sorta makes sense just to get all the extra rewards

Depends on your level. I would suggest playing on normal until level 60, then the Item Power 750 items start dropping and you can adjust your gear to move up to Penitent and Torment without having to suffer at all :)

My gears stats all dropped and my life attack power and armor are 1/4 of what they were. Not only that I was able to do reasonable damage in nightmare level now I have actually died 5 times. I never died even once prior to the season change unless seriously overwhelmed. Supposedly the damage is the same, not the case I’m dying way easier than just a week ago. I rarely ever used any health potions but my most recent game I used 5. Doesn’t make sense. I don’t feel they scaled the damage correctly with new stats numbers.

You should adjust your difficulty, nightmare level is now tied to difficulty and legacy gear is not torment 4. You should try torment 1 and 2

Folks who are still being haters even after everything the d4 team has done to make it literaly as close to what the oldschool fans want without compromising the identity of the new game, i simply just dont understand. I think its a really good balance of old and new features, the whole system that was d4 at launch is pretty much completely gutted and reworked to compromise with the hardcore blaster fanbase, which i am a part of i quit the game at season 2, came back for 3 couldnt play it it was too repetitive and nothing really stood out for me, here we are over a year later after launch and i feel like im finaly playing the d4 i would have expected from the beginning, it sucks it took them a whole year to get the game into a good place and making its actual fans happy but they managed to pull it off from a place of absolute despairng for people like me who thought diablo was just dead, hope has returned to sanctuary once again and im loving the NEW game it is an S tier A-RPG now compared to launch wich i would have given a C- being generous. Everone who is still hating is just butthurt that they took so long to make it work but i see that as hope for future installments that they can actualy manage to get their shit together. It's not going to be a copy paste of diablo 2 that shit is gone, that game was made in a different quadrant of reality and consciousness all together. I dont believe we are there anymore the early 2000s was a golden age and who wants to play a copy paste d2 anyway.
