My main and only is necromancer, I finding this class super fun and looks great but in pvp I was just sitting duck. This vid gives me hope :D I just got all gear and aspects, I will try this build as fast as I will respec. Thank You for this great work!

Glad it was a help! Keep in mind that I am optimizing and changing as i go. No major change, same play-style but just min maxing maybe testing some other aspects as well. Necro is definitely not strong and i do struggle big time against well made barbs and rogues, but the setup gives us some kind of a chance

@@LordxSaura Great to know that build is on progress, I wonder where your next paragon points will go. For now I went in scent of death because there is alot armor and life to take. I dont have best rols on gear yet but at 100lvl I sit at 7500+armor and over 17000hp, mist cd 13.37. Making some chances for necro in pvp is better than no chance at all. Soon I will try this build on action :)

@@7aroslaw Scent of death is also one of my paragon boards! I am finally level 100 now, and continuously testing things, swapping aspects, skills to see which one feels better. Let me tell you its getting better and better! Quite excited to share the progress going forward. Those stats looking great, if my calculations are correct, once the build is min maxed we will have 8.5k armor and almost 20k hp.

I am very curious about the final results :D I was trying build today, 1st time I was using gamepad for diablo 4 so there was a lot "monkey smashing", few times I died from gamepad menu button, few times my mount happend to be deathtrap for me xD As for gameplay, this build its amazing, I finally enjoying pvp in d4 as necro, build works like charm even if I have skill issue in pvp. At lvl 100 in 1v1 at worst scenarios I was enable to put some good fights, even if I lost some fights vs people who was cleaning region from players I got my revenge on them (in most cases). I was fighing vs lvls 100 who choose to attack me or who was bloodmarked and I won more than I lost, I had many clean wins today thanks to this build and it will get even better with time ^^ Also if someone is just farming pvp zones for pvp rewards, rituals with this build can be done without problem, enemy can be stun and kite for a long time. I love this build! Thank you!

@@7aroslaw so glad to hear it man. Without play testing other necro builds i have been thinking of, i cant say this is the best way to play yet. However, As i play and improve this build more and more, i am feeling more confident that this might be the build on necro to have the best chance out there. I am testing more stuff; different aspects and other things going forward, i will upload a new video on it soon. Once we perfect this one, we will even venture out some other playstyles and builds to compare and make necro viable. I actually have heard about that and tested it. However in PvP I could not get it to proc like people say it should. I am going to set up some duels and test it some more though, just parsing on them and following closely.

I have been play necro pvp at lvl 100 for a day now. And a few attempts at it on lower levels of course. I am bone spear specced with a lot of %MovementSpeed, Close Damage Reduction and defensive aspects. Got 17k hp and about 9k armor total. I can stand my ground in most cases, except against very skilled oponents. There are a few key moments I wanted to mention: - Necro is setup dependent (corpses, tendrils, shielding bone storm aspect requires mobs, refill essence) - all the fights I win involve packs of mobs. It helps you A LOT. - Being a sniper also helps. You can kill people of the screen - use it. - Max movement speed helps a lot with kiting. - Unstoppable when injured + immunity bubble + mist are your survival tools. Expand your toolbox with those, it will pay off in pvp. - I opted for reap to generate guarantied corpse and for dmg reduction. It has synergy with aspect that yields 20% damage reduction after basic skills. - I have my shield + 1h for defensive moments. It helps survive longer, but at the cost of damage. ---- Most of the time you will run and stay on the edge of the fight, bait people in. Necro requires some exceptional situations to win: * off the screen * opponent blew and has no CDs * has no unstoppable * Mob density for shielding and refills and CC --- There is no magic to it. Necro sucks, but you can make it work. Especially good if you team up with a class that can CC - like frost sorc or even rogue. Then only HoTa barbs will be a problem, but you can kite those easily.

A lot of good info here. Definitely agree and see it in parallel with some of the things you mentioned. One thing i would like to mention though, with this setup I feel no lack of CC. Yes mob density is great for necro but if you are playing with minions, I actually do think minions are SO UNDERATED in PvP. Aside from the fact that they can create line of sight in some fights, they provide so much utility. Utility 1. Insane cooldown reduction. I can literally get my mist up every 3 seconds if not every off cooldown. Utility 2. They are constantly CC`ing enemy. If my enemy is not unstoppable, they will be constantly CC`ed while i am kiting them. I am trying to incorporate bone storm into this build due to having that barrier with an aspect. But army of dead with minions go so well together as well. Something I have been testing and comparing. Yes minions do die, but army of dead is also up like every 10 to 20 seconds, and i usually have so many corpses by then. I either immediately bring all the minions back with ulti, or I just spawn them back from corpses. Also off hand, instead of shield. I have been enjoying focus a lot. 15% more lucky hit chance and 20% more cooldown reduction. Even more mist uptime. Mist is just what we have over other classes. We have to empower that skill as much as possible to stand a chance.

I always get 1 shotted by barbs and rogues what do i need to improve life or damage reduction ?

I dont think I got one shotted by rogues since I upgraded my build so I can share that I have around 9.2k armor (fully buffed), and right now 15k life. But once we finish the paragon board I should get up to 18k hp. And that should be enough. If you can stack as much damage reduction as possible great, if you have been unlucky with stat lines like I have been, I am trying to survive using max hp/armor pool and cooldown reduction.

Its not too bad, PvE damage is a bit low since we are not stacking tons of crit damage (due to cap in PvP) I am able to clear up to tier 50 comfortably but gets a bit harder after that.

how does your minions survive other players?

They do and they do not :D. The approach is to not keep them alive but bring them back as quickly as possible which we do it by army of the dead ultimate and constantly generating corpses around. We have a massive cooldown reduction, I have even seen army of dead ultimate cooldown being as low as 10 seconds. We also have unyielding commander aspect, so the more army of the dead uptime gives our minions massive attack speed, and %90 damage reduction. Massive attack speed also means more corpses being generated for us to bring them back when needed.

Thank you very much! I love its design and class concept as well, Its like you are leading army of skeletons. However also I have to be honest, I think its viable however it is rated as one of the worst classes in PvP right now.

@@Dalborax possibly that plays a role. A lot to test, but by just looking at it, other classes have it easier to build in more damage while having tons of tankiness. Thats where the real struggle of necro lies

@@LordxSaura that's fair but being almost infinite invulnerable seems like a good counter to defense they need more mobility for sure, but I'm hoping in time they get some buffs for speed and tankiness they have great damage. It has always been the main aesthetics I went after in any mmorpg/arpg I have played :D I hope that PvP stays updated, and gets some care from blizzard, as long as thats the thing we will continuously make D4 necro content!

😂 I kill players 20 levels higher than me on my rogue. Obviously I lose a lot to high level players but the few times I down a 90 at level 71 makes all the deaths worth it.

With right build its definitely possible especially on a rogue since its arguably the best class right now. Honestly with this necro while I was 80 i was also still able to win %50 of my fights as well. Correct build is almost %90 of the pvp.

I think I made that clear in the video about showing only the positive fights and fact that I lost some of the fights. I also stated that fully min maxed rogues, and barbs should give necro a no chance in a duel. When it comes to fights with Zenith, I have total of 6 clips. Where I won 2 and lost 4. None of them were actual duels. They were straight jump off the horse and fight. Out of 6 clips only 3 of them were fair fights were no one else jumped in or there were not bunch of mobs around. It was also at level 85 where I was swapping bunch of stuff around and testing things. Out of many rogue fights, he was the toughest opponent. Even some of the 100s did not feel as difficult to fight against. In every PvP environment bunch of egos always float around which I personally would expect a little less of it in D4 considering D4 PvP is fully class/build/gear/level dependent. Tomorrow someone can exactly copy paste this build and fight me, and kill me. Video is not to expose anyone or prove that I am THE Necro that can beat these players/classes or give false hope to anyone. The goal is to make fun, casual pvp content and maybe also show that there is a way with Necro to win against rogues, or enjoy the open world PvP in general. GGs to Zenith
