Also, I wanted to add. I need teleport. It's one of the best movement abilities in the game, and there's going to be times you need to move. Can also go through walls. I'll keep Flame Shield as an enchantment, but on the bar, I'll replace it with teleport.

When I first started messing around with my sorcerer alt this is the build I was having the absolute most fun with. Definitely gonna use it for a hardcore level 50 run

Bro I been looking for a build that was centered around ice and this is absolutely perfect. I've been seeing a lot of other builds centered around lightning and fire, and I might try those later, but this build here is perfect. I'm going to start hardcore as well, so I love all your tips about barriers and survivability. I'll be saving this vid and coming back to it plenty of times.

They will always give Sorcs the most love. It's a Diablo game so yeah.. Sorcs have the best hardcore skill in the game, Flame Shield, making them automatically the best class in Hardcore (even above Druid), CURRENTLY. I personally think the Pally class will have a skill like Flame Shield but more of a Holy themed ability where you are god for a couple seconds. Why Blizz gave a skill like this to only one Class remains to be solved.

I chose the enchantment that automatically makes ice shards appear towards frozen enemies which is GREAT when I use frost nova

Excellent video, thank you for this! Could you please detail the optimal distribution point by point between level 1 and 50 for this build? For example as we can see on many websites: 1 Forst Bolt 2 Enhanced Forst Bolt 3 Glitting Frost Bolt 4 Forest Bolt 2 5 Forest Bolt 3 etc...

Great video! I plan on running a very similar build. Question for you regarding skill progression though: at what point do you recommend maxing certain skills like FO and Frost Bolt? I.e before or after going further down the skill tree to grab other skills? Obviously Flame Shield is a must have asap, but aside from that.

I would recommend running down the tree until the end. Then FO followed by FB.

Thanks for clarifying how flameshield works even if it’s not in your bar. I really didn’t want to make a lvl 15 sorc just to test it! The build you choose early when you have no gear really should be based on the loot you find. Fire, Frost and Lighting are all good for leveling. I found a early Aspect of Piercing Cold so I went a frost ice shards build and I’m just mowing down everything. I think teleport is basically mandatory in HC. I would’ve died to butcher without it. I use it as my last oh shit button to get out of horrible situations where Fire shield or ice shield wouldn’t of helped. I’m planning to swap out fire shield on my bar for deep freeze or blizzard when mid game. I’m 25 now and never procced the death passive yet. Really happy I picked sorc as first character. So fun in HC!!!

I beat the game first play through without spoilers. Deep Freeze came in very clutch near the end (ended story at lvl 43). Very good skill to reset a hectic situation or to allow other cooldowns to come back up.

Teleport with the 20% increased run speed after use aspect, and the 30% damage reduction skill point can work well for escaping if you're without fire shield
