@@itstrilogygames2418 I called Diablo and talked to them. A 2008 dosen't require anything extra. Just plug and play. Been running the 93 tune since I posted this question. Very happy with it

did you not read the instructions? in the quick start guide it litterally says to remove aftermarket items like alrams, radios and remote starts

Ive had trouble buying used tuner pacs like this before where it wouldnt allow me to run it on my truck it was linked to the original owners vin and i could never get it to work on my truck

I change my camshaft I changed everything the lifters to delete the DOD and I install the Diablo sport tuner. My truck runs great got plenty power but it doesn’t shift right now and now it’s saying cam shaft, position sensor and that person would that make my transmission Night Shift, right

Is there any difference between turning off the afm with this Diablo tuner or using a Range afm disabler ?

​@shiftinggears7860 have had my Diablo since November 2023. Works great. I think the mpg is better using the Diablo. When coasting my mpg goes up to 99mpg like normal. With the Range it only went up to about 87mpg. So there is a difference for some reason.

Do I have to put the octane that it’s saying or can you put regular gas and the octane is just a name for it?

Based on the tune that you select you need to run that octane of fuel. now obviously if that octane is not available at your local pump i would advise selecting a tune that is!

I HEAR IT MENTIONED THAT THE RADIO SHOULD NOT BE ON OR EVEN TO REMOVE THE FUSE FOR THE RADIO BEFORE USING TUNER??? WHY IS THAT NOT MENTIONED IN PAMPHLET????

Because the instructions are almost useless and calling tech support is even worse. Have all accessories off, and you only have to disconnect the stereo if it's not stock. If its stock don't worry about it. Also it won't work on 99 to 2005 GMC/Chevs if the cigarette lighter fuse is blown. I found that out the hard way.

Great review! I would be more weary of used though, when dealing with vehicle programing and the cost of a new tuner vs. the cost of problematic truck I'd opt for spending the extra 150.

yes, if you choose the 87 octane tune....than thats all you use. and yes it can read codes but diagnosing is what technicains do

ehh its really not that big of an issue. if you can update it great if not. theirs very very small changes between software versions. you will be fine
