My steering locked up and had no signs till it just happened one day after a rainy day. It’s super hard to turn steering wheel in any direction so you Think it could just be a rack and module

Im doing this to my 13 tomorrow before the freezing weather sets in.. its worse in freezing weather. Im estmating 4hr?

Sorry I didn’t get back sooner, I wouldn’t say 4 hours. Depends on your skill level and what tools you have. But with a basic set and common knowledge I would say 1-2hrs. Sorry again for the late reply.

Can this problem come and go, based on maybe outside temp? I had this exact issue, had an appt with my mechanic, and boom, problem gone. It was warmer yesterday, and tonight, its colder and its back. I have a 2014 Explorer Sport.

Yes I found this to be true with mine. I’m picking mine up in an hour. Not cheap. $750

@@ronbuda44 it's insane. Mine was $985 Canadian, so pretty close. For a 12 inch shaft.
