I just pulled my 200s out of my 85’ and I broke it down , can I say it’s way cleaner then this one and everything looks good but I was only getting 50psi I am just going to buy a Kit for $49.00 and change out the rings and then the gaskets and other stuff that comes in kit to see if I can get compression up to at least 120?

I’m working on a 185 with exact same scenario. Boring cylinder, new piston snd rings. Swapping head.

Im working on exact same thing now , how did you make out with yours? Im ordering new rings and a piston and gasket set. Valves are seated nicely and they were in spec when I checked valve lash. Did the oil in the cylinder test and it jumped from 60 psi up to 95 psi , only had 1200 miles on the trike. Anything else I should look into that you know of? Any information would be much appreciated. Thanks

I just bought a Kawasaki KLT 110 and the guy told me it was running and it only needs a spark plug. Got home and put a spark plug in. No spark. Put a compression tester in and there’s only 30psi.... is my engine shot and did I get screwed? There was also no air box on this one so it was sucking dirt for who knows how many years.

found out the cam sprocket exploded.... think i can take apart the engine and clean it out, then rebuild it?

i think your right it was seazed. my xr200r was exactly like that, that intake valve don't to look good there should be a margen and it looks sunk deeper then the exaust valve. if u lap it it should run lol 1 more thing i just thaught of is grease the engine mount bolts mine were very very stuck and i destroyed 1 of them pounding it out. aluminum and steal don't set well together in the weather. and check the cam chain they stretch a lot mine is all slapy lol great vids we know u can get it running like a top again 👍

I have this exact same bike, put on a new carb, spark plug, clean the best I could the gas tank started great a few times but chokes after a few seconds 10-20se .. after we tried adjusting the carb, nothing starts... the old spark was black as hell. my arm is beat :) any hints on what O could do now? Many thanks

I got my first four wheeler yesterday its a Honda trx250x 1988 4 stroke and i was riding all through my yard first time actually having something big for me so i was getting used to riding it in stuff like that in stayed in first gear the whole time only drove it for maybe an hour in i revved it a couple times in the yard in now it wont start when i kick start it, im guessing i blown something from reviving it through the yard to much in first gear can anyone help me find the issue before i try to take it to a mechanic, It was running perfect oh and i did it at night then put it up and tried getting on it in the morning before i had virtual learning

You are in that far so I think ringing it is the smart move. Valves didnt look sunk in really bad so a quick touch up will probably cure that leaky one. I like that 3 wheeler minus the back tires. I'm not sure people understand that the balloon tires are part of the suspension on those and thick hard tires are all wrong. It is going to turn out nice.

So what is a atc 200 is it the same as a 200e

No atc200 is the baseline model. No suspension although this one has replaced front end. Pull start only. No hi/lo trans etc

Tough call , you do have the parts ! If it were me I might not do what your doing , I don’t have the parts and that one would be a start of my parts collection ! Lol. It seems the only thing your collection is lacking is good plastics . I would like to see you Frankenstein something , maybe a 6 seater cart with twin engines ? Lol. Or a 8 wheel drive boat ! Lol

hey harvey i got another issue i have ran into when rebuilding my engine i got in a rush and ended up forgeting the the washer that goes into the camshaft and mag and the bolt ended up sucking into the the shaft on it is there a way to fix this?

Cant help but notice the replaced front end. So obviously owned by someone capable of fiddling enough to unseize a engine

Looks like it was seized then someone got it un-seized but the rings are still stuck
