I used a bsd forever chain to re break in my 20 yr old sprockets , once no more click pop sounds , I switched to the shadow v-2 half link no worries runs super smooth

Im a mechanic if your measuring center to center it should not change. You can look and see that it is worn. It wears from the outside to the middle. I would measure the outside of one tooth to see how much ig is worn compaired to new. I have see where the teeth actually break off from being so worn out. Good video.

My chain is so tight it sounds annoying. I don't have any choice tho. When I add an extra link my axle is almost at the end of my dropouts. My gearing is 25t-9t. Cs is 12.75.

Are you on a full ink chain? If so switch to a half link. That’ll get you better adjustment.

I put a new sprocket on my bike and it feels like the chain loses and gains tension within one rotation full rotation doesn’t happen only half rotation

Sprockets are never perfect. That's normal.

Just grab a waterless wash from Walmart or an autoparts store. Grab a small pack of microfiber. You could also steal your dads quick detailer if you have no money.

Hey thanks man I’m having the exact same problem i got my new chains (I’m a beginner like total beginner)and the cracking sound is killing me. I have 28 spiked sprocket on my bike now but it’s bent and done … so is the drive… but i have this new 25spiked sprocket too , would u recommend, replacing them ?? To from 28 to 25 sprocket and tighten the chain on that new 25sprocket? (Can’t get a new driver or a hub )
